There’s something truly special about helping someone buy their first home. Being part of this milestone is both an honor and a privilege.

There were moments we thought we had found the one, only to have it slip away. But they never got discouraged—they stayed focused on their goal and kept pushing forward.

And then, just when the timing was perfect, the right home popped up!

From signing paperwork to gathering all the necessary documents, they were nothing short of amazing. Because of their hard work and determination, we went from contract to closing in just 3 weeks!

It’s moments like these that really make me thankful I am able to help people achieve their goal of becoming homeowners.

A huge congrats to my buyers. Today they were able to close on their forever home. Tears were shed and smiles from ear to ear came and went in waves.

For the first time since I have been with my current brokerage, I was not able to help a seller sell their home. That is close to 6 years, and this is the first time it has happened.

Look, I love to win, and selling a home is a win. It is not only a win for me, but for the seller. This was a loss. Plain and simple. You will see the word loss a lot in this post. I will not shy away from using that word. Not because I am proud of it, but because that is what it was.

Some of you may ask why I am sharing this. Isn't it my job to show all the success I have with my buyers and sellers so people can see how awesome I am. This in turn will create more business and more people will want to use my professional services. Becoming even more awesomer. (It's a word, just not in the dictionary or used in any proper English speaking)

That is true, but I also have to be true to who I am as a person, and that includes sharing this loss with all of you. My belief is that if we don't take into account that sometimes we didn't win, then we lose focus and don't grow as a person. Either personally or professionally.

This loss will help me in many ways both professionally and personally. For that I am grateful. A single loss doesn't define me, or anyone for that matter. It's what we do after that, that really shows our character.

A couple days late on this one, but this is worth sharing.

This experience gave me the opportunity to drive to the mountains multiple times. I do love the views of the mountains and everything that comes with them and it never gets old. Enough of that. This is about the seller after all.

This seller was juggling multiple property sales in Idaho while also getting settled on the other side of the US. With different time zones and schedules, coordination needed to be on point to line up for all this to happen.

The seller was extraordinarily proactive. Decisions came quickly and without hesitation. They didn't miss a single detail about the location of specific items, even from over 2000 miles away. The seller was on top of everything.

It took a huge effort from everyone involved, but I’m thrilled to have worked with such exceptional people. The home was sold to the perfect people for this home.
