The Boise VA is seeking caregivers in our Medical Foster Home Program.
The Boise VA Medical Foster Home program is a dynamic alternative to long-term care for veterans who can no longer live safely independently. A MFH provides safe, supportive, long-term care for veterans in a comfortable home environment. MFH’s are a creative alternative to a skilled nursing facility and may be an option for veterans who are unable to live alone, or don’t have a caregiver at home.
As a MFH caregiver you will receive guidance, training, oversight, and assistance from the VA’s MFH and Home-Based Primary Care teams who will provide medical care to the veteran. Caregivers are paid, and the amount varies depending on the specific care needs of the veteran.
For more information, please call Amie Panicacci, LCSW at (208) 780-6253.
