has been teaching with Y6 for TEN years and we are the absolutely luckiest to enjoy her presence in our studio. Not only are our students blessed, but so is our greater community of teachers and staff. She’s pure LIGHT💡And did you know that her daughter Jade ( .mald22 ) also teaches at our studio? They are a dynamic duo and their loyalty to teaching the Signature Series and Sculpt Classes are next level.

⭐️ What do you love about teaching?

What I love about teaching is sharing my love of yoga, connecting with the students, meeting people from all walks of life.

⭐️ How would you describe your teaching style?

I would describe myself as a teacher with a lot of patience and compassion for my students. In sculpt I love to bring loud and positive energy with my love for music ranging from hip hop, pop to latin.

⭐️ Who/what inspires your personal practice?

My health both physically, mentally, and connecting with others through yoga. Our community is amazing!

⭐️ What are some of your hobbies outside of the studio?

I love to watch my kids play soccer. I’m a soccer mom outside of yoga. Love to hike, travel and hang with friends and family.

Emily has been teaching at YogaSix for 2.5 years now and if you haven’t taken a class from her you’ve definitley taken a class with her. She is at the studio almost every day refining her teaching style or dedicating herself to her personal practice.🧘🏼‍♀️

💫What do you love about teaching?

“The best part about teaching yoga is the community. My coworkers and students give me more than I could ever give them. I also love teaching yoga because it gives me opportunities to expand my practice and share what I learn with others. “

💫 How would you describe your teaching style?

“HOT! With lots of focus on breath and safety.”

💫Who/what inspires your personal practice/training?

“My mama is my biggest inspiration. We are both on a journey to become healthier and stronger together! We remind each other that staying active is how we are going to be able to take care of one another and the people we love in the future.”

💫What are some of your hobbies outside of the studio?

“My biggest passion outside of yoga is music. I teach beginning band, as well as give private lessons on the bassoon. I am a member of the Serenata Orchestra and play concerts regularly with them. I also really enjoy being outside and traveling. You can find me hiking, hot springing, teaching, performing, playing volleyball, road tripping, cooking, or snuggling up with my cats outside of the studio!”
