Installing windows on a bus is a serious occasion!

We are loving every second of installing the new windows, if it means taking out the old ones.

Loving these abstract windows that our client has chosen. They are so fun and spunky!

Here at the Rolling Donkey, we are working on 2 busses currently.
Here are the stages we’re in with the two, both have completely different layouts & requirements.

1st photo- Stephanie’s bus: this is a short bus that will be wheelchair accessible, free of all chemicals to ensure it is a safe bus for MCS.
We’ve had this bus media blasted, removed all windows, and primed the entire inside with non-toxic primer.

2nd bus- Kristen’s bus: this far, we’ve sanded down the minimal rust on the flooring of the bus, primed any exposed areas of metal, insulated the flooring with foam board, put down the subfloor, framed the wheel wells, began framing the ceiling, took out all windows to reskin the bus with sheetmetal, (we will soon be adding proper RV windows) & blocked off one of the rear doors with sheet metal.

Balancing the two outrageously different builds has been such a rewarding challenge and non the less kept our brains occupied!

We are very thrilled with the progress our team is making and can’t wait to further update on these awesome builds!
