Education, support, & networking for Idaho's substance use para-professionals.

The Recovery Coach Training Academy had a great time connecting with the community at Canyon County Pride yesterday.

We spoke with individuals interested in becoming Recovery Coaches, behavioral health professionals looking to expand their impact, and community members passionate about supporting recovery in Idaho.

Every new Recovery Coach strengthens the network of support available to individuals navigating recovery. That's why opportunities to share information, answer questions, and build relationships are such an important part of our mission.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about Recovery Coach training, certification, and career pathways.

Together, we're growing Idaho's recovery workforce—one conversation at a time.

Healing is rarely rushed.

Rebuilding confidence. Finding stability. Learning to trust again.

These things take time.

Give yourself grace along the way.

You never really know what someone else may be carrying.

A little encouragement, kindness, or support can stay with someone far longer than we realize.

Small moments create ripple effects.

Support does not always require having the perfect words.

Sometimes it looks like a text. A ride. A check-in. A simple “thinking of you.”

Showing up consistently can make more of a difference than we realize.

Recovery rarely follows a straight path.

Some days feel like major victories. Other days simply getting through the day is the win.

Both count.

Progress does not have to be dramatic to matter. Keep moving forward.

What do Recovery Coaches do?

Recovery Coaches are guides, mentors, advocates, and connectors. They walk alongside individuals in recovery, helping them navigate barriers, build confidence, and connect to the support systems and resources that can help them move forward.

Sometimes, having someone in your corner who understands the journey can make all the difference.

Recovery Coaches help create connection, accountability, encouragement, and hope, meeting people where they are and supporting progress one step at a time.

Spent the last couple of days at the IIBHN Conference, and there was a clear takeaway.

There’s a growing need for more people who know how to show up and support others in meaningful, consistent ways.

That’s exactly the role the Idaho Recovery Coach Training Academy is working to fill.

RCTA is centered on building a stronger front-line workforce. Preparing individuals with the skills, awareness, and confidence to walk alongside others through recovery and be a steady presence when it matters most.

Recovery isn’t something people navigate on their own. It takes connection, trust, and people who are ready to step in and stay engaged.

Appreciate the time, the conversations, and the shared commitment to strengthening support across our communities.

Curious about becoming a recovery coach or bringing this into your organization? Let’s connect.
