Hi I need some help. I bought a Scott Shafiroff motor last week. I was told it was a 540 pump gas motor. There is a four didget number right blow the drivers side head. Its 4990. Its an older motor because it has a Merlin 3 block. I just would like to know what it is. Thanks

Shew... where to start? Buggy killed it yesterday . Thanks to all that have shared your videos and pics with me. Getting these ORI Struts dialed in more and more every run. Fronts still need a little more adjustment , the Profender bumps were a great addition. The Reid Racing knuckles are doing outstanding holding together , as are the Revolution Gear & Axle shafts . Shafiroff Racing engine was TOTALLY ON POINT thanks to AMSOIL INC. Four Season Synthetic , SMG Motoring Inc., and Renegade Race Fuels & Lubricants ! Goforth Tires & Automotive, Inc. Keeping this thing hooking up! Kold Kutter - The Official screws had me feeling like I was still running on dirt! PRP Seats making me feel very comfortable and safe wrapped up in their seat, harness and firm grip on their steering wheel. Radial Dynamics thank you for "steering" me in the Right direction, it's effortless driving this thing. AGAIN THANK YOU ALL.

Bought a 540 and installed it. Ran great. Changed the oil after 100 miles before sending it to get dyno tunned. Found metal. First thought was to blame the builder. So I ripped it out and bought it back. Turns out it was my fault. Didn’t use correct water pump and not enough clearance between pump and cover causing issues on cam bearing. They took it apart and repaired in 1 day. What other builder would do that. Nothing but high praise for the team at Shafiroff. Can’t wait for my 2nd build!!

Guy claims this is one of your 468 BBC pump gas engines. I don't see one advertised on your website. Anything you can tell me about it? Specs? Cam? Etc??? Do you even have option for one. He claims less than 500 miles on the motor. I am looking at getting his 83 c10 prostreet truck. He doesn't have any info on motor.
