Due to the rain forecasted this morning, Byron Lake Adventures has been cancelled. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday at Ronkonkoma Beach @ 2:00 pm, and next Tuesday at Byron Lake @ 10:00 am. However, the library and Children's play area are always open ☺️

Long Island has been home to several different inhabitants over the centuries, from indigenous peoples to Dutch and later British colonists. Over time, several ghosts and myths have made the Island home. In this lecture, Brooke Franks, PhD candidate at Stony Brook University, will tell you about the mystery of Mt. Misery in Huntington, the ghost of the Fire Island Lighthouse, and discuss Lake Ronkonkoma.
