Since Carol flowered the first bloom out of my batch, I'm so happy to announce the newest hybrid namesake. This one was even a little more difficult because the tag did not have the original pod parent listed. It was blown out during the last hurricane. This is Carol's pic.

Gosh I love this plant! Growing in a 12-in clay bulb pan.
I love the start of Encyclia season! Several years ago I did a selfing of
(Enc. cordigera x Enc. rufa ).
I don't normally do it because less than quality plants can result. In this case one stunning plant was discovered. Currently growing in a 12-in clay pot-- with lots of airspace, the pseudobulbs are larger than my fist and the inflorescences reach 6 ft...!🤩 Each of them carries 150 plus flowers with amazing fragrance. The photos are of a single plant. Truly a one of a kind..
