Some of you may know these men. These are three of TJJ 2023โs finest madrichim. They now have gone back to the IDF to do what is right. As Jews throughout all of history we have suffered, but we have suffered as a united people. This time is no different, as Jews we must step up to the plate and stand up for what is right. Do what you can to help the person next to you and stay good๐๐๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฑ

Looking for something fun to do to get rid of those stuck inside blues? How about an art session with Romero Britto?!?!? This Sunday at 2:30, the artist himself will be leading us in a virtual art lesson just for NCSY/JSU! Head over to southern.ncsy.org/britto to download his coloring book. We'll post the Zoom meeting link there the day of the event. Grab whatever art supplies you have - from sharpies to crayons and get ready to get creative.

Benedictine Military School Theology: Jewish Studies teacher Rabbi Eli Lob spoke with each of our classes (seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen) during their free period today about Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. In Hebrew, Rosh Hashanah means "the head of the year" and it marks the first day of the "10 Days of Repentance," where Jewish people acknowledge their sins of the previous year and believe they are judged for their sins by God. The 10 days end with Yom Kippur, which is the "Day of Repentance," the holiest Jewish holiday. This year, Rosh Hashanah begins the evening of Sept. 20 and ends the evening of Sept. 22. Benedictine Military School is proud of its longstanding relationship with Savannah's Jewish community. Since 1902, when BC opened its doors, the school has served male Catholic, Protestant and Jewish students who share interest in the Judeo-Christian tradition of academic excellence, good moral living, respect for authority, and love of country.
