🎬 In 2010, we met.

Every week, she came to my home for a very special purpose: Bible study.

She was the teacher.

I was the student.

Back then, neither of us could have imagined everything God still had planned for our stories.

Today, sixteen years later, we found ourselves standing together in a classroom once again.

But this time, not for a Bible study.

This time, in front of cameras.

During the filming of Through the Eyes of Faith, she portrayed a teacher teaching our children about faith, courage, and purpose.

As I watched the scene unfold, I couldn’t help but think about how God connects chapters that only make sense years later.

It all began in my living room.

And years later, it became a scene in a film.

Once again, the message remained the same:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9

Some friendships are gifts.

Some people are answers to prayer.

And some become part of a story that God has been writing from the very beginning.

A story lived before it was

🎬 There are moments on a film set that feel less like filmmaking and more like time travel.

This was one of them.

In 2004, I spent countless hours in the library at UniMinas Law School in Uberlândia, Brazil.

I studied there.
I wrote there.
I reflected there.
I dreamed there.

At the time, I believed I was preparing for a future in law.

I dreamed of becoming a judge.

Life had different plans.

Years later, I found myself kneeling on the floor of a library in West Palm Beach, Florida, opening a suitcase filled with law books, criminal law textbooks, notebooks, and pieces of a life I once lived.

Not to study them.

But to recreate them.

To tell the story of the young woman who carried those books through the hallways of a university, unaware of the journey that awaited her.

I could never have imagined that one day I would write a book about my life…

Then write a screenplay inspired by that story…

And eventually stand behind the scenes, helping direct and build every detail of that world back into existence.

The books were props.

But the memories were real.

And in that moment, the distance between 2004 and 2026 felt very small.

Because some stories are not simply written.

They are lived.

And years later, they become something greater than we ever imagined.

✨ Behind the scenes of Through the Eyes of Faith.
A story first lived… and now being brought to life on screen. 🎬

Some stories are written on pages. Others are written through the years.

🎥These images capture far more than a scene from a film.

They capture the moment when the past and the present meet.

In May 2026, we stood in a library in West Palm Beach filming :

🎬Through the Eyes of Faith.

But the story we were recreating began long before the cameras started rolling.

It began in 2004, in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

In a university UNIMINAS library much like this one, I spent countless evenings studying law, writing, reflecting, and exchanging emails while dreaming about the future.

I worked during the day.
Attended law school at night.
And dreamed of becoming a judge.

That dream never came true.

But another one was quietly taking shape.

The dream of storytelling.

Not because I decided to become a writer, but because writing had always been part of who I was.

Long before I understood it, God was already preparing the story I would one day tell.

The words became a book.

The book became a screenplay.

And the screenplay became a film.

Today, as I look at these images, I realize something I could never have understood back then:

God was never only preparing me for a career.

He was preparing me for a purpose.

Now, years later, I find myself reliving that journey through cinema—carefully shaping every scene, every character, every detail, and every emotion to honor a story that was first lived before it was ever written.

Because Through the Eyes of Faith is not simply a film.

It is the evidence that some dreams change form, but never disappear.

✨ Sometimes God doesn’t give us the dream we asked for.

He gives us something far greater than we ever imagined.

Behind every powerful scene, there are artists whose work is rarely seen, yet whose impact is impossible to miss.

This is our talented makeup artist, bringing another character to life behind the scenes of Through the Eyes of Faith.

In this moment, she is preparing Seth, the Russian antagonist whose presence challenges the journey of our story and helps reveal the strength of faith, resilience, and purpose.

Before the cameras roll…
Before the lights come on…
Before a single line is spoken…

There is preparation.

There is vision.

There is craftsmanship.

Every detail matters.

Because storytelling is not built by one person.

It is built by a team of artists, each contributing their gift to transform words on a page into emotions on a screen.

This is the magic of filmmaking.

One character.
One scene.
One brushstroke at a time.

🎬There is something profoundly moving about watching your child step into a chapter of your own story.

These images are more than scenes from a film.

They are a bridge between two generations.

At 10 years old, my daughter Layssa portrays me in Through the Eyes of Faith.

The same age I was in 1988, in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

A little girl sitting in a classroom, filling notebooks with poems, dreams, questions, and hopes she could not yet understand.

Back then, I had no idea that the words I was writing would one day become books.

That those books would become a screenplay.

And that decades later, my own daughter would sit in that same seat, holding a pencil, bringing that little girl back to life.

As I watched her, it felt as though time folded in on itself.

The child I once was.
The woman I became.
And the daughter God entrusted to me.

✨ Thirty-seven years later, the little girl who once wrote poems in a classroom is watching her daughter tell that story to the world.

All meeting in the same frame.

🎬 Some stories are filmed. Others are lived, before filmed .

These behind-the-scenes moments from Through the Eyes of Faith remind me that every frame begins long before the camera rolls. It starts with prayer, preparation, sacrifice, countless revisions, and the unwavering belief that God can use a story to touch hearts.

What the audience will see on screen is only a fraction of the journey. Behind every scene are long hours, dedicated people, challenges overcome, and a vision that refuses to give up.

Today, receiving these images from the set fills my heart with gratitude. They capture not only a film in the making, but a calling being fulfilled.

Through the Eyes of Faith is more than a short film. It is a testimony that when faith leads the way, every step has purpose.

✨ Some dreams are born in the heart. Others are born on their knees in prayer.

Martha ❤️

📖 My background is one of my greatest sources of joy, and I carry it with deep pride. I don’t believe it’s possible to tell my story without first sharing with you, dear reader, the roots that shaped me—the experiences, values, and love that continue to make me stronger to this day.

And so, I begin with the person I love deeply, the woman who has always been my greatest reference and from whom I learned some of life’s most valuable lessons: my mother.

Trought the Eyes of Faith 📖

Today, my daughter’s teacher approached me, a bit surprised by the two-page piece she had written. Perhaps she was struck by the maturity of her words, and even by the seriousness of the subject. But the truth is, what she wrote was a reinterpretation of a chapter of my life — a story that became part of my book.
It is something that was shared with her with both maturity and lightness, and something she absorbed beautifully. This is not a story of sadness — it is a story of faith. A story that includes deserts, but also victories, because in life, no one goes without facing their own deserts.
At 10 years old, she is already showing a depth of thought, creativity, and expression far beyond her age.
She doesn’t write like a child trying to complete a school 🏫 assignment — she writes like someone who feels, observes, and transforms stories into meaning.
What you’re reading here is not just a school academic activity. It reflects a young mind that is curious, expressive, and unafraid to explore complex ideas through storytelling.

This writing , inspired by my own life journey, was not absorbed through fear — but through pride.

She sees it as a story of faith, and transformation.
A story that was not defined by past ,but redefined through strength and purpose.

She carries a natural gift for writing, as I also carried when I was a child - a vivid imagination, and the ability to turn inspiration into narrative. She doesn’t stay inside the lines — and that’s exactly where creativity lives.
Beyond writing, she is also developing as an actress, bringing emotion and authenticity into every scene she steps into.
As a mother, what I see is not just talent — but identity forming, voice emerging, and confidence growing.

And more than anything, I see a child who learned that even the hardest chapters in life can be rewritten with faith.
And that is where legacy begins.
Not in perfection.
But in truth, carried forward with courage.
And more than anything, I see a child who is not afraid to think differently.
She writes differently, thinks differently, and expresses herself differently. That sets her apart from the standard.

That, to me, is where true strength begins.

La, Mommy is so deeply proud of the girl you are and the woman I can already see you becoming one day. You think outside the box, you have a creative ability beyond the ordinary, and you don’t just write — you feel, interpret, and transform stories into meaning. You carry within you faith, resilience, and a unique way of seeing the world, a reflection of the strong and spiritual foundation in which you are being raised. But above all, you are a kind, joyful, and radiant girl. Shine brightly and don’t give importance to criticism that tries to stop you… be yourself, be real, be genuine, and above all, be happy. 💛

🎥✨Há mais de uma década eu carrego esta história — primeiro vivendo, depois escrevendo, e agora levando às telas.

Through the Eyes of Faith não é ficção.
