Hey Brides, what do you do with those engagement session photos? Many of you use them on Save the Date cards. But the majority of couples never do anything more with them and that is sad:(.
Here are some ideas:
1. Make a guest sign in book for your wedding.
2. Frame one or a series for your first gallery wall as a couple.
3. Include in your wedding album as a chapter telling your story. I also recommend a chapter for the courtship, shower, rehearsal dinner and of course the wedding. If you have an afterparty or brunch, include images of the events as well.

Did you know that September is National Save Your Photos Month? It was started in 2014, predicated in part by SuperStorm Sandy, by The Photo Managers. During the month of September members of the organization provide FREE educational classes, in-person workshops, and engaging conversations to help the public ensure photos and videos are not lost to changing technology, natural disasters, or just a lack of time and know-how! Question of the week: Why are my VHS tapes at risk? You should digitize your VHS tapes for a number of reasons. First, they are at risk as the medium does not stand the test of time, degrades more rapidly than Photos, and other types of film, the tape relaxes because of the way its housed and your sound and picture quality will go. Additionally, the VCRs are hard to come by and eventually you will not have a way of viewing your precious family memories. I suggest you find a reputable photo manager that can transfer your VHS tapes for you so that you can share your story with your family at the next gathering.

Rambo the Great has gone to meet with all his friends who have crossed the bridge before him. He was our Super Dog, with us though thick and thin. With a heavy heart we said goodbye to him yesterday. Thinking of all the sandwiches and steaks (OK and once a stick of butter) he stole, most often from the hand of an unsuspecting guest. He was our loyal companion and we have a hole in our heart with his loss.

Actually I think most often! They convey emotion and bring back the feelings at the time. This was taken at a recent wedding weekend. Do not discount these photos when planning your print projects.

4. Rule of thirds: turn the grid on under camera setting for help

I just returned from presenting and learning at The Photo Managers Conference. It was a great week meeting and catching up with wonderful people.
