YAY! We got into the Strawberry Swing's 12th Annual Holiday Swing. If you need me between now and Thanksgiving weekend you better make an appointment because I'll be busy sewing! I'm so excited to be apart of an amazing event that supports local and small businesses.

I got some great feedback during the show on Saturday. One thing I'll be working on is offering pre-made sets of baby items. A matching bib, burp, and wash cloth to make gift giving easy. Here are a few of the most popular prints from the show. Let me know what prints you'd love to see!

1 week from today, I'll be at the Strawberry Swing's Fall Swing! Are you planning to go? What are you most excited to see?
Part 6 of making zipper pouches! This is the last video with a behind the scenes look at zipper pouches. I hope you enjoyed seeing everything that goes into making these little bags.
Part 2 of making zipper pouches! Again, totally worth it when you have the finished product.
Part 1 of making zipper pouches. Follow along to see more videos of these fun and functional pouches being made.

So excited!!!! Green Squirrel Studio will be at the Strawberry Swing's Fall Swing October 1st! I hope you'll come check out this fun event.
The website is launched! https://greensquirrelstudio.myshopify.com/

Got some great pictures for the website today. The sun was perfect! Green Squirrel Studio website launches on 9.2.22 at 7 pm.

It's hot, I'm tired. I just finished a mock booth display for an art show application and I regret setting it up in my driveway since it faces west. That afternoon sun is hot! On the plus a neighbor came down and told me everything was really cute. Her daughters loved the Halloween zipper pouches and trick or treat bags.

Thought I'd introduce myself. Feel free to ask questions in the comments.
Behind the scenes look at how I prepare fabric before it becomes a finished product. It only took 15 tries before I got the audio voice-over right. I almost had to do it a 16th time because my husband started yelling at the Chiefs game. I hope you enjoy!

Easter is quickly approaching. Don't forget locally owned and small businesses have cute things to add to your holiday baskets. This one features my baby burp cloths made with 100% cotton on the front and soft, absorbent minky on the back.
Which print is your favorite?
Behind the scenes look at how I make my children wash cloths.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to have a product photo shoot. I'm extremely excited to share the images but they won't be ready for 2 weeks. Until then I'll share some of the pictures I've taken.
These are my reusable and substainable unpaper towels, made with cotton canvas and a white cotton chenille backing.

I've made 2 new products and am curious what people think about them. In the first picture are face wash cloths made with a cotton print and cotton terry cloth backing. The second is a new rabbit ear teether made with a cotton print, cotton terry cloth, wooden ring and crinkle material on the inside. I'm loving this small woodland print and plan to use it use on so many things!

I finally got a few photos of my new Unpaper Towels. Made with cotton canvas and chenille terrycloth. These Unpaper Towels are extremely absorbent, eco friendly and easy to care for. No more wasting money on single use paper towels!
My first video showing a behind the scenes look at how I make one of my new products. Not the best camera angle but I'll get better with more practice.
Setting new goals for 2022! It might not seem like it but 2021 was a big year for Green Squirrel Studio. I got a business licenses making me official, bought an industrial sewing machine 😍, worked on product development, secured a domain name, and took several small business classes. While I don't have everything figured out; I'm ready to take the next leap of faith. In 2022 I'll be launching my website with new products. In the past my products have been geared towards baby items, now the focus will shift to products for your home that solve common problems, are made of high quality materials and craftsmanship, and are easy to care for. I'll be posting pictures of new items in the coming weeks. I hope you'll stick around to see it all happen. Feel free to give the posts a 👍or a ❤ or drop a comment.

I love the way these two bright and bold quilts turned out!

New Product Testers Needed!!! Hello I am in need of 3-4 babies to try out new bandana bibs. These bibs are made for those who can't contain their drool. I am looking for feedback about the bandana bib such as functionality, fit and how it compares to other bandana bibs you have used. I will need to know the age of the baby who will be testing it as well. If you would like to be considered please leave a comment below including why you want to test the item. I will then reach out via private messages. Thank you!

This sweet vintage kittens with pink gingham backing is giving me all the feels!

To all the Dads and Step Dads...
Thank you to everyone who supported The Green Squirrel at The Strawberry Festival yesterday!

We are at the Strawberry Festival at Vaile Mansion from 9-4 come see us!
Getting ready for the Strawberry Festival!
Tomorrow is the big day and we are so excited! Who is coming to the Strawberry Festival at Vaile Mansion tomorrow?

Minky Loveys to match the minky blankets I made.

Minky Blankets! Nothing beats the softness of a double sided minky blanket. I'm so excited for the Strawberry Festival at Vaile Mansion June 1st. Come see me there!

Thank you to the women and men who have fought for our country and to their families.

New Product Alert! Loveys are currently being created. I'm also making more double sided minky baby blankets so stay tuned as I'll post more over the weekend.

Happy Mother's Day!

Sometimes it can be hard deciding which color to put with a quilt. I'd love some help with this bold fox quilt. Orange or the teal minky for the backing?

How did Monday get here so fast?

One of my co workers is very pregnant with a little girl. She picked this fabric out as one she loved and I agree it is pretty cute! My question is how many burps and wash cloths does a first time Mom need?

It has been a very productive Sunday working on several custom projects! I'll post pictures when I can. I hope everyone else has enjoyed today!

Another 365 days of new adventures and goals for my small business. What would you like to see from The Green Squirrel this year?

Posted a little bit late but it has been a busy day. I hope everyone has had a great day!!!

One more Christmas Gift completed!

I've got a long to do list this weekend, but with some coffee I'm ready to tackle it. I hope everyone else has a great Saturday!

The finished product from yesterday. Fruit bib, burp cloth and wash cloth.

Continuing the succulent trend with this flannel receiving blanket. What's your favorite baby theme?
Working on making a new fruit printed burp cloth. I love the vintage vibe this fabric has! I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday. Remember to shop small this Christmas Season.
Several new prints made into burp cloths and bibs. The black and white with flowers is a best selling print that I've been sold out of. So excited to get these made and posted. Which one is your favorite?

Today my Grandma Clara Simon celebrates her 100th Birthday. The current snow outside has prevented me from being at her birthday party in Minnesota. I use to visit her every week my junior and senior year in high school. After I graduated she mentioned wanting to make a quilt but not wanting to do it on her own. I jumped at the chance and selected the printed fabric out. We then decided to to do diagonal rows in every color we could find. I remember her saying well it's going to be colorful that's for sure. She did 90% of the work on that quilt while teaching me what to do. Thus began my love of quilts. She taught me how sew embroidery, make felt Christmas stockings and shared her life lessons with me. The second picture is her feeding the pigs on our childhood farm and my morning coffee in her tea cup. Happy Birthday Grandma! You are loved, even if you can't remember who I am anymore.
