Researchers studying how our environments affect the brain have found that a lack of nature may be contributing to rising levels of stress, chronic illness, and loneliness.

And here’s the surprising part: the prescription is simple.

It’s called the 20-5-3 Rule:

🌿 20 minutes in a green space, 3 times a week.
🌲 5 hours in a more natural environment, once a month.
🏕️ 3 days completely immersed in nature, once a year.

That’s it.

And if you live in a city? Bring nature indoors. Plants, nature photos, and natural design elements have been shown to positively impact the brain, too.

One outdoor program leader put it perfectly: “You give people permission to feel the grass, and it’s like a revelation.”

Maybe wellness isn’t about doing more.

Maybe it’s about reconnecting with what we’ve been missing all along.

The unexpected keeps popping up🐊 and there was primal fear upon seeing this creature pop out of the water just feet from where we usually sit.
