Double Whipping this tree! πŸ˜‰

Set up two double whips, using the chipper w***h on one side to pull and setting up a prussic with a porter wrap to capture the load.

Then on the other side setting up a double whip and using what I call β€œTHE NORM” to give more mechanical advantage so two guys can lift the other side.

Then using the mini skid to hold the base of the branch so we have control! We had to set this up twice because there were two independent sections on the house, one on top of the other!🀩

I was literally the conductor of my own tree symphony removal!!🀩😁 It was beautiful! πŸ’₯πŸ’―πŸ’₯

😁 Well, after a great weekend away, yesterday on my Bday I had the privilege of removing this tree off a customers home. πŸ’ͺ

I say privilege in this sense because this occurred last Thursday. This was with regard to a tree I had previously quoted for removal. 75% of the canopy failed and landed on the neighbors house in layers.

The homeowner I quoted the tree for told the neighbor they would reach out to me. Unfortunately I was unable to get to it until yesterday, Tuesday the 16th. The customer I quoted the tree for was calling as many contractors to come out to assist the neighbor prior to me being able to get there.

Well, upon looking me up and seeing all the great reviews he was turning away other contractors because he wanted me to do the job. 😎

In the end, when it was all done, he told me he was very glad he waited for me because he was absolutely impressed with our work and the level of rigging skill executed to remove two layered tree canopies off his home without causing ANY further damage.

What a way to celebrate your birthday!! πŸ˜ŠπŸ™

Here is a volunteer tree that had grown up next to this retention wall. You can see that it failed on the retention wall side because there was not a root system that could hold it in place.

We were able to methodically remove each section.
Then use the mini skid to pull it off the house and section it down more.
We then stood the entire section up, grabbed it with the mini skid and cut the bottom of the spar.

This is the exciting part about tree work. 🀩 Getting to use tools and skills that I don’t often get to employ.

This homeowner had a Bradford Pear tree fail in numerous places. Being able to properly setup a rigging system that allows me to pick this branch up off the house, safely process it, and then safely lower the entire section without causing any further damage! πŸ’₯😎πŸ’₯πŸ’ͺ

I intentionally focus on making sure to do what I can to prevent any further damage.

I was just thinking about this. One of the ways you can make sure you do not get scammed in tree work, especially after damaging storms is to see if the tree company is bonded.

The town of Normal is the only one that requires tree businesses to get a bond but Bloomington residents can benefit from the same assurance by asking if the tree company is bonded in Normal.

This is one way to make sure you are dealing with someone local.
