Another perfect Hemlock Ridge Rose

Even our customized signage has vintage charm

The Roses Of Hemlock Ridge. Wow ! I have attempted a rose garden for the second time in my life. The first I was very young and the garden unsuccessful. This time I got it. The wall of white climbing roses I grow in honor of my beloved mother, Helen Rose. The beauty and fragrance of our garden roses is captivating. Just one of the the many reasons we love our property here. The beauty and serenity of this place engages our guests.

Our dream for Hemlock Ridge is to provide our bride's with an affordable dream wedding. As a professional designer, ideas and implementation are part of me so I have several new things to offer. I am now collecting vintage and previously worn bridal gowns available for purchase and redesign/alteration to a bride's taste. I am also offering custom jewelled bridal flowers, permanent and unique. I just love creating and recreating beautiful things!

In this business we meet with lots of engaged couples planning their special day. All of our Hemlock Ridge couples are dear to us. But occasionally a young couple really touches our heart. That is the case with Tommy and Sarah from south Georgia. They will marry this year at Hemlock Ridge and we are as excited for them as parents would be. Our connection with them was immediate. Following our meeting, Sarah surprised us with the most touching note on a card that she created. With her permission it will now become the cover of our correspondence notes. Congratulations Sarah and Tommy.

Christmas week at Hemlock Ridge closed with a family dinner followed by Christmas Eve midnight service at Peachtree Road Methodist where the message and the music were magnificent. Before making our trek to Atlanta we visited our favorite salad maker "Blimpie" where they treat us so well. We were discussing the season of miracles when a man approaced me saying his family needed a Christmas Miracle. There little dog "Sweet Pea" had disappeared from their rental cabin and they were headed back to Atllanta. Our Kitty "Hemi" had also been gone for almost three weeks. So at church I love to reach out to God in prayer and was doing so when my niece poked me as she thought I was sleeping when in fact I was praying for the little dog and our kitty to return. Of course there were other prayers I asked for a dying woman, family and friends! We returned to Blairsville early Christmas morning to prepare a family dinner. I called the owner of the lost dog to check on it and found that the little dog reappeared at the cabin and he was on his way to get her. At home we set about preparing for family when Raymond heard meowing. Our "Hemi" had also returned. These were our little Christmas miracles!
So much to be thankful for. In 2016 we continued our quest to build our dream here. We also made some more wonderful friends that we cherish here in our little town. And as we set a beautiful Christmas table we were reminded of God's grace. Happy Holidays to all of our friends and followers and thank you for supporting our dream.
