Union County Fire Station 3 Personnel respond to any fires, motor vehicle collisions, medical emergencies, search and rescues, and other miscellaneous calls.
Union County Fire Station 3 is a volunteer based / donation funded station, part of the Union County Fire and EMA department, a combination paid/volunteer service in north Georgia. Station 3 and sister Station 12 cover southeastern Union County, or precinct 3, consisting of the Owltown, Choestoe, and Trackrock areas. Sustained winds of 15 to 20 MPH can be expected along with gusts
of 20+ MPH, especially along ridges and the Cumberland Plateau.
Relative Humidities will likely stay above 30 percent, but will be
between 30 and 40 percent.
Ongoing drought has lead to drier than normal vegetation. With
dry fuels, high fire danger conditions can be expected.
Union County Fire Department discourages any outside burning during high fire conditions.

Union County Fire Department will be performing a child safety seat check, free of charge, on Wednesday, November 8th from 1 to 3 PM. Location will be at 507 Shoe Factory Road. This car seat check will assist with certificating our new technicians. Please attend if you have a car seat that you would like to have checked or installed. Members of UCFD Station 3 trained on hose deployment and water supply last night. This consisted of training for arriving on a fire scene, determining length of supply and attack hoses needed, deploying and connecting these together along with multiple fire appliances from an engine to the nozzle, and flowing water within 6 minutes. Once firefighters begin flowing water on a scene, it very critical to continue the supply of water for a successful attack and extinguishment of a fire.
