Say hello to one of our newest employees! Jon Hough has recently joined the Timberlake Team in the estimating department. We asked him to tell everyone a little bit about himself:

"I was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. I have a Civil Engineering background and met my beautiful wife, Hannah, while I was going to school. Her hometown is Hiawassee, GA, and we moved back to Hiawassee 3 years ago. Since then, I have had a baby boy named Jensen and have done remodeling in the area. Now, I have the great opportunity to work with Timberlake Custom Homes and all its amazing staff as an Estimator. (P.S. I love talking and coffee, quite often told to “shut it” by my wife. So…. If I am keeping you from something that is urgent, feel free to tell me to “shut it!””
The Timberlake Team is expanding, and of course this calls for a new group photo! We are blessed to have these wonderful people working together to make each client's vision of their home a reality. In the next couple of weeks, we will feature our new members, Jon Hough and Jeff Hunt.
Here is one of our gorgeous custom homes in progress. This build features a board and batten exterior with three sets of double mahogany doors. Talk about an entrance!

We love the colorful accents added to this custom Craftsman style lake home. Our client wanted to bring part of the beach with her to the mountains, so we added light blue bahama shutters against a soft, sandy cream siding and white trim. The screen deck porch ceiling features the same pop of blue.

We welcomed a new employee to the Timberlake Team today! Jonathan Shively will be working as a Project Manager, overseeing the construction process for our clients.

Today is a gorgeous day to be out on the lake and enjoying the views. This rustic Craftsman home on Lake Chatuge is just a few steps away from the dock and water. 🤩☀️🌅🌅

We love the stained accents in this Farmhouse style home; they add warmth and a rustic touch on all three levels.

Another happy client! Thank you to our team and subcontractors for bringing this custom home to life. Home building is a journey and a process, and we value the relationships we build along the way.

All we can say is... WOW! What a beautiful day to frame a house with this magnificent view. Thank you to our amazing framers who work hard every day to bring our clients' visions to life.

02/26/2021

We love the look of bringing the exterior look of a home inside! The board and batten walls really make this open floor plan beautiful to look at.

A chilly, rainy day like today can be well spent cozied up on a couch next to your fireplace.🔥🌧 For those who love listening to the sound of rain, grab a good book, heat up the outdoor fireplace, and relax in your screened-in porch. ☕️

02/05/2021

What a breathtaking Master Bath! We love the claw foot tub as the focal point in the center of this room. The adjacent his/her vanities create an aesthically pleasing symmetry, further highlighted by matching mirrors and vanity lights.

We are excited to share that Timberlake Custom Homes has been chosen as a Best of Houzz 2021 winner for both service and design! Thank you to our hard-working team who made this happen. We can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings! 🤩🥳🎉

When the entry of a home needs proper rain water drainage, we opt for rain chains! They are aesthetic, simple, and add an extra touch of elegance to a home without taking away from the craftsmanship of the covered entry. A standard gutter/downspout would have looked clunky and unappealing here.

01/01/2021

Happy New Year everyone! We are excited and hopeful to see what 2021 brings. Sending best wishes to all of you.

The Timberlake Team wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

For the upcoming holidays, our office will be closed Dec. 24th - Jan 3rd. Some of our office staff will be working remotely Dec. 28th - 31st.

Wow what an entrance! This featured front door is an 8 ft. tall, double entry, arch-top in knotty alder. The client loved the tone of the alder and decided to use a natural stain to enhance the beauty of the wood.

This custom lake home showcases GORGEOUS rustic elements throughout the house. Note the rough-sawn floating staircase and metal/wood railing, stained trim and doors, site-finished pine flooring, warm gray custom cabinetry, and the distressed patterned tile.

11/27/2020

We love the look of an open kitchen, living, and dining. This layout features a vaulted Great Room that drops to a flat ceiling over the Kitchen and Dining. The Dining Room is partly enclosed from the Great Room, creating a sense of separation while still remaining open. And, of course, we have to mention the gorgeous mountain views that are visible from all of the back windows.

11/21/2020

Who doesn't love a stone fireplace? They create an inviting atmosphere, add warmth (literally) to the look and feel of a home, and also serve as an eye/catching statement piece. This one showcases a live edge log mantel.

Our custom homes are designed with your lot in mind. Whether you've got a lake, forest, or mountain view, we aim to optimize your enjoyment of the surrounding landscape. Features often include: large, open decks, full view windows and doors, and vaulted ceilings.

Photos from Timberlake Custom Homes's post 10/30/2020

The details make all the difference! The timber entry, stained cedar shakes, dark front door, rustic gable trusses, metal roof eyebrow, walnut garage doors, and corbel accents all work together to create this beauty of a home.

What can we build for you?

10/19/2020

What a gorgeous, open kitchen! This home has a welcoming combination of rustic and clean. This look can be achieved by mingling wood/stain (as seen in the cabinetry and Great Room ceiling) with straight lines (as seen in the subway tile and pendant lights), neutral, smooth walls, and stainless steel appliances (the range hood is an updated look).
