Once serving 44 schoolhouses across the county, Union County Schools currently serves more than 2,700 students in Blairsville and Suches. The vision of "Success for ALL" rings throughout the school system by identifying needs for each student and providing academic, artistic, athletic, and community opportunities. Now recognized as one of Georgia's Charter School Systems, Union County Schools will strive to remain one of the top rural school systems in the state.

Today we honored our amazing Veterans with a breakfast and ceremony in recognition of their sacrifices and their family’s sacrifices for our freedom. We are incredibly grateful for their service to our country!
In addition, Captain/Sergeant Major Ron Hill was honored with a commendation for lifetime service from Governor Kemp and UCS Superintendent John Hill was inducted into the Sons of the American Revolution! 🇺🇸 🐾

UCS Superintendent John Hill was invited to serve on an innovation and flexibility panel at the Charter System Foundation Fall Conference in Athens and highlight some of the great ways our system uses our charter flexibility to serve students in innovative ways! Notable speakers were Monica Kaufman Pearson and Casey Cagle! Great job!
The decision has been made to hold the Veterans Day Ceremony in the UCS Fine Arts Center due to the potential of rain on Friday. 🇺🇸
Don't forget! This Friday! The ceremony starts at 10AM and breakfast will be provided for all Veterans and their guests in the UCHS cafeteria beginning at 8:15AM.
Congratulations to the family of Clyde Collins for being honored as the Union County Pioneer in Education this morning in Cleveland, GA! Mr. Collins served for 41 years in education as a teacher, principal, and superintendent and we are thankful for all he did to further education in Union County and Northeast Georgia! The award was received on behalf of Mr. Collins by his wife of 80 years, Mrs. Sue Collins.

Military Appreciation Night!

Tonight all active duty and veteran service members will get in free! There will be a special presentation at 7:10 PM to recognize all active duty and veterans past and present. We also will honor a member of the North Georgia Honor Guard and Marine Corps Veteran, Mr. Walter Scott, who recently passed away.
