My husband was told his refill would be called in no later than Wednesday. The pharmacy has received no refill request and my husband has been out of meds for days. He has left messages with your office but they aren't being returned. I just called and your voice mail says it can take up to six days to receive a returned call. We are very unhappy with the service you have provided us. A little communication would go a long way. We are reasonable people but there is no excuse for the lack of communication.
Are y'all taking new patients I am in need of help bi polor but don't have Dr or therapist
I can never get anyone to return my calls. Even my pharmacy has called requesting to refill a prescription three days ago and haven’t gotten a response!!!! Always dealing with something when it comes to getting in touch with someone!!!!

I AM LIVID. I have been trying to get my son in for an appointment that his medical doctor referred him for that she stated needed to be handled pretty quickly. Once my husband called to make his first appointment, they stated. they needed to verify his insurance before scheduling an appointment. That is fine; working in the dental field I understand that. We called once a week for 6 WEEKS to schedule the first appointment, and they restated they needed to "verify the insurance". We have a very popular insurance in which all of the records (medical and dental) are available ELECTRONICALLY. It takes 5 minutes to look up and verify.
So we FINALLY get an appointment. My husband said it went smoothly with the doctor, and my son was rescheduled with the therapist. My husband takes off work to take him to the second appointment, in which the up front staff states "he doesn't have an appointment" that day. My husband had the appointment in his phone, on the written calendar at home, and presented them with the appointment card which had the correct date/time on it. Still was unable to be seen that day, wasting one of my husband's vacation days.
So I call on the way home from school, already extremely frustrated. They rescheduled him with me during the only month I have out of school. Our appointment was today.
We show up at 3:00 (I didn't realize the appointment was at 3:20, so that 20 minutes is on me). Sat there until 4:00. 40 minutes past his appointment time. Get called back. Have a lovely conversation with the doctor, who then asks when he is coming back to see the therapist. That was supposed to be TODAY. THEY SCHEDULED US WITH THE WRONG PERSON.
The DOCTOR was apolegetic and promised to credit our copay for his next visit, which we have to reschedule. AGAIN. Go to approach the lady to check us out, who states she will have to "email administration" to see if they can handle the copay situation, since she cannot credit the account. Then states that she needs to look at the insurance to make sure they will cover the therapy appointment. WHAT. THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALREADY DONE. She did not apologize for any of the mistakes, did not crack a smile. Rescheduled us for next week.
I will be calling his pediatrician in the morning to be referred to a different practice. This is the WORST experience I have had in the medical field. EVER.
Don't waste your time here. The staff couldn't care less about their patients. My husband missed his appointment due to a death in the family. They didn't have another opening for almost 2 months, and refused to refill his prescription.

Update: normal operations from 12:00p forward today.

Operations Update for Monday 1/2/2022:
Out of an abundance of caution for both our patients and staff, we are adjusting some operations for tomorrow morning. For those scheduled before 12:00pm, who are eligible and can have telemedicine visits have been sent that information via email and in the portal. Those who need to be rescheduled have also been sent portal messages.

400 PM Update: We apologize however the Internet in our area is still out. We are using what hotspots and data services that we can to respond to your calls and messages. We are able to access the majority of our systems but at a much slower rate. As much as possible, please use your patient portal to communicate with the office. We have continue to see all of our scheduled patients and will continue to do so as well.

Update at 1230p: internet is still out. Per Charter there is a cut fiber optic line in our area impacting the service. Unknown time of repair at this point.

There is another area wide charter outage impacting our internet and phones. We may not be readily available during the next few hours due to this. We apologize in advance.

The power in our complex is currently out. We have no ETA for repair and it appears to be our area, both sides of Valleydale Road.

We did have damage on our internet server/switch yesterday.

We are open and up for calls and some access to our systems today.

Unfortunately this afternoon during the storms, our building took a lightning strike. All of our personnel had to evacuate the building and we currently have no power or access to Internet/phones.

Our staff is safe and we are very thankful for that.

We do have an after-hours service answering the phones just to let everyone know that our building did take a lightning strike. We are unable to access our systems at the current time. We are hopeful that we will be back up tomorrow.

Please call us after 8 AM tomorrow or use your patient portal.

Patients who have telemedicine visits scheduled this afternoon will still have those as all of our providers have gone remote. Anyone who had an in-office appointment this afternoon, we have done our very best to try and reach and notify everyone.

Good morning-

A gentle, but necessary reminder, masks are still REQUIRED in our office, regardless of vaccination status. Current CDC mandates have not changed in regard to healthcare facilities and healthcare settings.

Please bring your mask to all in-office appointments. We are happy to provide a disposable one to you if you forget yours. We also may be able to provide you a reusable one if you find that your current situation doesn't allow for you to purchase one of your own. We are very willing to help with that, the best we can! Speak to a member of our team.

We have also not changed our policies on entering the clinic, notification of arrival, etc. Please call us at 205-987-0724 opt. 3 or you may text arrival information to 205-937-2240 when you arrive for your scheduled in office appointment of service and, please remain in your vehicle. Only the patient of record will be allowed admittance to the clinic, unless otherwise arranged with a member of our healthcare staff.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment so that you have time to notify the staff of your arrival and the staff has time to enter all required information without hindering your allotted appointment time(s).

All emails, reminders and notifications being sent to you via emails, the portal, etc. are also very important and may contain vital details regarding office policies, etc. Please read those in their entirety. ANNOUNCEMENT:

Psychiatry South will be CLOSED Friday 06/11/2021 to complete staff training and updates. We are excited to have change and several new faces at Psychiatry South and need to take the time to train and update them appropriately.

Patients who are currently scheduled for Telemedicine visits with our providers WILL have their appointments via Telemedicine. Please do not worry!

The office will not be reachable for routine business matters, medication questions/refills, etc. If you are in crisis, or have an urgent matter, please call 9-1-1 or proceed to your nearest emergency room.

Please call or reach out to us before 5:30pm on Thursday 06/10/2021 or after 7:30am 06/14/2021 during normal business hours.

There are a lot of storm damage repairs going on near our office. Fortunately, our office was spared in the tornado last week. However, with the repairs, we have lost power a few times today. Unfortunately we cannot control this and it may cause times that we are unavailable by phone. We apologize for any inconvenience and will do our best during these times.

Winter Weather Operations Update:

Our office will move to Telemedicine/Remote operations today, Monday 02/15/2021 at 12:00pm.

**OUR PHONES WILL BE TURNED TO OUT OF OFFICE/ANSWERING SERVICE FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY FROM 12:30PM-1:45PM TO GIVE OUR STAFF TIME TO GET HOME. PHONES WILL BE BACK ON AT 1:45PM TODAY.

In an abundance of precaution and safety for both our staff and patients, we will be completely Telemedicine/Remote for operations on Tuesday 02/16/2021.

We are thoroughly committed to the safety of our patients and staff.

To safely provide care, we are continuing our reopening in phases and have added additional measures.

You will see a number of notices and action items taken by our staff and providers to provide the safest and quality care as possible. We re-evaluate these plans and perform quality checks often.

We’ve shared some of the most recent updates we’ve done to include our notice for Phase I and II combined, requirements for masks, social distancing markings laid upon entry, identified parking with reminder notices, modified hours for scheduling, etc. Throughout our facility you will see sanitation/disinfection stations that our staff uses regularly.

We ask as a patient to our facility that you follow our guidelines to protect the safety and overall well-being of yourself, other patients, visitors and our staff.

We’ve been able to maintain consistent availability and access to care for our patients during this time, and we hope by continuing our precautionary measures and constantly reevaluating, we will maintain that same level of access to care.
