Due to a technical error, many trips scheduled for this morning were performed late and some reservations may have been missed altogether. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We have already determined the root cause of this error, and we have put in place several improvements to our internal scheduling procedures to ensure that this type of error does not occur again. Thank you for showing patience while our dispatchers worked diligently to resolve the issues this morning.
We are so thankful to have the support of Irondale and other area municipalities, and we treasure all of the partnerships we’ve made over the past 25 years, but this may be a first: We were especially honored today to receive a visit from Mayor James D. Stewart Jr. himself who came by to deliver a check and personally show Irondale’s support and appreciation of ClasTran. We are proud to serve Irondale and the rest of Greater Birmingham!

Today our deepest condolences go out to the family of one of our best drivers, Randy Roberson, who we lost to COVID-19 early this morning. He loved his job with a passion and cared deeply for the elderly and disabled whom he served, and he will be sorely missed by everyone here at ClasTran.
Randy was a truly wonderful man—the type of guy whose mere presence could put anyone in a good mood—with a huge heart, a great attitude, and a passion to serve his community. At the outset of the coronavirus pandemic, when many were concerned for their own safety—and understandably so—Randy was ClasTran's only driver to volunteer to transport patients who tested positive for COVID-19 to and from critical dialysis treatments. That's the kind of guy he was.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all those he touched as well as to all those who bravely continue to serve on the front lines of this global pandemic.

Today we celebrate John, who has been a vehicle operator for ClasTran for the past eleven years, as he makes his last stop in the City of Jasper. He genuinely loved serving the public as part of the ClasTran team, and we’re truly sad to see him go. We wish the Walker County Commission the best with their new public transportation endeavor as we continue to focus on providing the best quality transportation service in Jefferson and Shelby counties.
