Alabama Independent Pharmacy Alliance is a group of unpaid independent pharmacists and pharmacy owners who joined together to represent the interests of independent pharmacies across Alabama.
The Alliance's beginning was in May 2024 when a few original members began grassroots efforts to educate citizens on the anticompetitive PBM practices that were and still are forcing small pharmacies out of business, while driving up drug costs for consumers and employers.
Incorporated in January 2025, the Alliance has worked tirelessly since last year to attain a legislative solution to restore a free market to pharmacies in Alabama.
It is our mission to relentlessly educate the public about the truth in order to provide a sustainable pharmaceutical model for all Alabamians.
