Birmingham climbing community, it's time for some real talk. Our beloved Amanda Maze, Head Setter extraordinaire, is currently in need of our help and support. Last week while on a ski vacation in Colorado, Amanda's fiance, Brittany, had to be taken to the hospital due to excruciating migraine-like symptoms. Upon examination, the cause was found to be a mass on her brain which required emergency surgery. As of now, Brittany is still in the ICU and Amanda is still in Denver. In the meantime, normal life expenses continue to gather on top of the recent unexpected ones. So, here's where we come in -- you are all familiar with the Community Appreciation Nights we have held in the past. This time it's for one of our own. On Saturday, March 18th, we will be hosting an impromptu Community Appreciation Night from 5pm to 10pm. All proceeds from food & drink, raffle tickets, and auction items will go toward helping raise funds for their cause. In addition, FAR and B2 will be donating a portion of all our Day Pass sales to aid Amanda and Brittany during these tough times. We have reached out to our partner businesses, both locally and in the climbing world, and have come up with some excellent swag. You won't be disappointed. We all take pride in being a part of this wonderful and supportive community. Now it’s time to rally together and show our friends just how much we care.
