Humana announces agreement to fully acquire Kindred at Home

One of the nation’s leading health and well-being companies, Humana, has announced an agreement to fully acquire Kindred at Home.

Under the agreement, Humana will acquire the remaining 60% of the nation’s largest home health and hospice provider. Humana purchased its original 40% ownership stake in 2018 and since then has collaborated closely with Kindred at Home on a wide range of innovations designed to enhance the patient experience, improve health outcomes and create even greater value for the more than 550,000 people served by Kindred at Home each year.

The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2021. In the meantime, Kindred at Home will continue to operate as usual, and Kindred at Home patients will continue to receive the same, high quality care and services.
