Founded in 1958 by Ross Neely, Jr, Ross Neely Systems offers truckload van service from points origin

Throwback to a time when our competitors liked to throw around the phrase "if you want it lost.....ship it Ross!". While there may have been some truth to that back in the LTL days, several decades later we are still here and prefer "Breathe Freely.....Ship Ross Neely".😁

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week begins this Sunday, September 10th! Can't wait to celebrate with all of our incredible drivers!!!!

Heads up!
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) Operation Safe Driver Week starts today! Now through Saturday 7/15, law enforcement personnel will be on the lookout for drivers engaging in dangerous driving behaviors. Buckle up and drive out there.

Mr. Earl Pecor is our Driver of the Month for May 2023.......and just as he celebrates his one year anniversary with us! Well deserved Earl and we appreciate all you do!

Our success and longevity over the past 65 years is due entirely to our incredible employees!
This week we are shining our High Beams on Ross Neely Systems.
Ross Neely has been defined by hard work and integrity since day one. What started with one 1947 International Harvester has since become one of Alabama's most well-known and well-respected trucking companies.
The relationship with the Neely family has been a part of our Association since Ross Neely Jr. started the company, and that relationship is still strong today with grandson Tommy Neely currently serving as the ATA Vice Chairman and is set to take over as Chairman on July 1.
Family is one of the greatest treasures of the trucking industry, and with so many of the companies that make up our community being family businesses, there is no question that family values are critical pieces to our industry's success. We are proud to have companies like Ross Neely that have strong family ties at the heart of their operations!

Little late recognizing some incredible drivers and Driver of the Month Awards:

These gentlemen do a fantastic job and we would not be where we are today without them!

Sometimes it's a good thing to get 0%!!!!
These 0% Loss Ratio certificates are flying out the door!
Risk Manager, Ray Hodge (he's been burning up those roads), stopped by Ross Neely Systems Inc. to present Tommy Neely (President) with their 2022 loss ratio certificate. CONGRATULATIONS to the entire Ross Neely team and THANK YOU for your dedication to in our industry!

Lost a legend in our industry yesterday. Mr. Moore was the one that other trucking leaders sought out for guidance and counsel. He will truly be missed.
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our founder, E.H. “Buddy” Moore Jr. Buddy passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by his family at his home in McCalla, AL. He was 88 years old.
Buddy began his trucking career as an owner operator for Deaton Truck Lines where he would later serve as the president of the company. Buddy served as Chairman of the Alabama Trucking Association for the 1985 - 1986 term. He was the recipient of the H. Chester Webb Award in 1993 which is the highest trucking honor in the state of Alabama. After being retired for eight years, his lifelong dream was achieved when he formed Buddy Moore Trucking with his children and wife. Buddy was a legend in the trucking industry and his counsel was sought by many.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 27th and funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 28th. All services will take place at Pleasant Hill UMC, 4809 Bell Hill Road, Bessemer, AL 35022. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be given to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Buddy Moore Trucking Supply Chain Management Scholarship at Auburn University, or the Alabama Trucking Association Foundation.

Happy 4th!!!

New Yorker Donald Blair has made $125,000 for reporting idling commercial vehicles to the city's Department of Environmental Protection. That makes him the highest earner under the Citizens Air Complaint Program so far, according to NBC New York.
To make money under the program, an individual has to record a commercial vehicle idling — for 1 minute in a school zone or 3 minutes elsewhere — and upload it to the department's site, along with a sworn affidavit. The vehicle is then fined, and the individual is eligible to receive a quarter of the money.
Blair told NBC New York, ‘If you want to change someone's behavior, the best way to do it is hit them in the pocket.’

Happy Birthday Priscilla! Hope it's a great one!
