Top 10 Healthy Habits You Need In 2022.

1. Start Fasting for a minimum of 2 days a week 18+ hours. Do not do it daily, it makes no physiological sense. Build to 72 hours for maximum benefit to your health.

2. Move Daily - you should have a program or gym that teaches you strength, energy / endurance systems, mobility.

3. Write Goals for your health. Take 30 minutes and scribble as much as possible then refine it from there. Review them for 5-10 minutes per day.

4. Get blood work looked at by a functional nutritionist. This is such a simple way to be proactive with your health.

5. Rest we need to repair just as much as we need any other physiological process to occur. 7-8 hours is optimal.

6. Drink clean water not tap water.

7. Take vitamin D every day of your life.

8. Reduce or have “Safe zones” of mobile devices. Be bored. Creativity is the child of boredom.

9. Listen to your gut feelings. You have more neurons in your gut than you do your brain.

10. Surround yourself with great relationships. You are the 5 people you’re around the most often.

Over the past 10 years we have had the awesome opportunity to deliver chiropractic, muscle therapy, and nutrition to 1000,s of people. Last year we built three different basic and advanced small group classes, offered 1-1 training, and developed a concierge health system to help any individual take their health to the next level.

Making sure you get quality water is so important. 78% of individuals are chronically dehydrated. Dehydration leads to literally every dysfunction of the human body if left unattended to, it eventually will turn into a bigger problem.

1. Drink from clean sources of water, preferably spring water.

2.don’t drink tap water

3.don’t drink bottled water unless I’m glass or aluminum.

4. Drink water with added electrolytes.

5. Drink half your body weight in ounces. Weigh 100 pounds drink roughly 50 ounces of water.

How is cupping linked to optimal health?

Cupping increases mobility and better movement of tissue.

The key here is movement within the body. If we move better we live better.

What happens during cupping is extremely useful to increase fluidity of muscle, fascia,
delivery of local nutrition and maximizing recovery of the surrounding tissue. What this means if applied correctly you move better and overall increase your brain activity. When we move better all things work better. Our brains thrive off of all forms of movement of the body. The brain-body movement relationship is the single most important reason why we exist and will continue to adapt.

Movement truly is life. Here’s how cupping applies to movement in your life.

So cupping and many of the other therapies we offer at Archetype assist in micro-movement of the body which allows for the broken human to become functional and transition to a global movement pattern. Therapies like cupping, dry needling, chiropractic adjustments, muscle manipulation, etc bridge a gap between dysfunction to function but optimal healing And stability of health happens in global movement that makes up the majority of the humans existence. Global movement is done using the whole body and is as diverse as the human itself. Walking, lifting, trekking, running, hunting, fighting are all forms of primal movement patterns we must replicate in modern society. Breaking down these primal movements, we as a species now call this “working out”.

So, the short answer is that cupping doesn’t lead to optimal health. It can be used as a very useful tool to maximize your quality of existence and life functionality. Remember this, addressing micro movement (injury, acute & chronic) or global movement (working out) daily is only 40% of your healthcare over your lifespan. Fasting is as normal to the human body as inhaling every single breath.

Fasting mimics our ancestors searching for food and not being able to succeed in finding something to consume. This hints their “fasting” period. Until commercialization of foods it was natural to “fast”, as we had to search for our food. So breathing and fasting are synonymous to being human. They have a unique purpose in our existence and physiology of processing energy.

Why should you fast?

To give your body a rest from always processing glucose. This allows for all of your cells in your body to take a break and become more effective in everything they do.

Increase your body’s ability to generate energy. By consistently eating you only access 1 part of your bodies energy systems.

Burn fat more efficiently. 96% of people that “fast” do not fast long enough to reach the fat burning phase. This energy system is far superior to glucose usage. It’s also barely utilized as it takes 20 hours of a fast to engage this energy system.

Fasting decreases inflammation and increases your bodies ability to repair. This combination is literally your fountain of youth. The longer you fast the better and longer lasting health effects.

Are you new to fasting? Start with a 18 hour fast first. This is where you get great benefits of teaching your body to utilize its own resources for energy. This is so incredibly important. Then after you are use to 18 hours begin to step into 24 hours, 36, 72+ hours of fasting.

One important thing with fasting, it must be random. Fast should not be done daily. Fasting is not a diet. Fasting is a natural process that has been a part of our physiology for 300 million years. It’s a random process.
