We are excited to support the Alabama Public Television American Masters Becoming Helen Keller documentary! The virtual event will be held on Oct. 18 and will feature highlights from the documentary, followed by conversations about Helen Keller's trailblazing advocacy. [08/30/21]   Due to the threat of inclement weather, the following changes to AIDB bus routes have been made for Tuesday, August 31, 2021:

K-12 school buses - None of the buses for Alabama School for the Blind, Alabama School for the Deaf or Helen Keller School will run on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

Alabama Industries for the Blind – The Birmingham route will pick up at the Pineview Bus Stop only. At this time all Talladega AIB routes will run as normally scheduled. If local weather conditions worsen overnight, the Talladega AIB routes may be adjusted. If Talladega AIB routes are adjusted, AIB workers will receive notification through phone call, text and/or email and the AIB page.

As of 9:00 p.m. on March 17, all is well on AIDB’s Talladega campuses. Overnight our Security personnel will be monitoring the weather to ensure the students and staff on campus remain safe. Our tornado shelters have been prepped and are ready for use tonight if needed. Together we are #DeafBlindLimitless.

National Go to an Art Museum Day was a few days ago, but with many areas still adhering to Safer at Home orders, a lot of us couldn't participate! So, AIDB Helen Keller School decided to bring a little piece of an art museum to us all, by sharing some of our favorite masterpieces created by our very own HKS Students!
