Ruby was found severely neglected and underweight after the April 2011 tornadoes in Tuscaloosa, AL. There were numerous times we feared she would not survive. Ruby was adopted by her foster family and is living life to the fullest! Never a dull moment with this larger than life chick! Ruby is a FOSTER FAILURE! I couldn’t let the day pass without acknowledging that another year has come and gone without our beautiful girl. “Da daddy” and I spent the day together. We started out by going fishing. I kept looking at what I thought was a leaf stuck on the boat motor, but it moved! It was the cutest little frog 🐸. I talked to it and told it how cute it was and it kept getting closer to me, then I thought it jumped out of the boat only to see out of the corner of my eye, it moved to my seat, almost on my shoulder. I quickly got up and it rode there(on the seat) for a good while. I don’t know where it went, but I couldn’t help but laugh and think that you would have dropped da bum paw on it 😂. After fishing, we went into town to buy some more flowers for your garden. We picked up some yummy food for supper of which I most certainly would have given you a bite. Love always, Da Momma ❤️
Gina here, AKA “Da Momma”. I am a bit concerned that something fishy has been going on with Ruby’s page. I got a notification supposedly from Facebook that we had gone against community standards and for us to click a link, the page could be deleted if we didn’t reply, etc. I didn’t do that and reported it to Facebook. I think it was a scam. I know there is not much to post about since RJ has gone, but I really don’t want to lose all the memories from her page. I changed her profile picture and the cover photo to see if anyone following her page would be able to see it.

I have been working hard on my sweet girl’s garden. It’s the time of year for the flowers to start winding down. I couldn’t believe the flag I found and how much it reminds me of her. It makes me smile. I will love and miss you until meet again ❤️❤️❤️
