Everett, aka Luh Jousta, is back again to try and claim glory at this year's Tall Bike Joust. Everettโs reason for jousting this year (besides winning) is to have fun while inspiring black youth to get into cycling. He has been a part of the Redemptive community for years, so long in fact that none of us remember why he started hanging around (not that weโre complaining). Everett believes that bike ownership is only the first step and that Redemptive is helping fill the needs of the community.
Being such a bike enthusiast we thought that Birmingham Pedal Tours would be the perfect pairing for Everettโs sponsorship. Birmingham Pedal Tours is the Magic Cityโs only pedal-powered tour company and the largest in Alabama. If you have seen them around you can attest that it looks like a good time. Tall Bike Joust IX is a fundraiser for Redemptive Cycles. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit bike shop in downtown Birmingham AL. We believe transportation equity is social equity, so we are proud to offer our charitable Earn-A-Bike and Sliding Scale Repairs programs. We provide bicycles and necessary repairs to people experiencing homelessness and financial hardship in need of transportation, so they can access the places and services important to them.
