One of our sweet clients went on his Make A Wish trip to Disney World last week! Jude had the best time with his family and nurse, Yazminn! Take a look at some of the highlights from his trip. We are so happy that he was given this opportunity to experience the magic of Disney!

Our last day of Caregiver Appreciation Week!

Today’s color is pink.

Today we celebrate a symbol of kindness by wearing pink. Growing up I am sure many of you received the infamous talk about how to behave when you enter someone’s home. It probably included something about being kind which is also processed as showing respect. Each time you visit your client’s home and greet them with a smile and speak with a calm voice to assist them, it makes a difference in how they feel in that moment and beyond. It reassures them that even in their need for your help, they are respected. It costs nothing to be kind, but we know you all experience many different situations where it can be challenging to remain that way. You are seen and acknowledged for operating out of kindness, no matter the circumstances. From the bottom of our heart, thank you.

Today’s color is green.

Today we celebrate a symbol of health by wearing green. Green is often attached to wealth, and we all know that health is wealth. Many of our clients have lived a long life. As we get older, our health becomes more of the center of our focus. Each of you help enrich your client’s life by contributing to their health in many different ways. You ensure they have the medications they need, some of you ensure that they get back and forth to doctor’s appointments. Overall, you ensure that they are as well as can possibly be. We cheer you on as you continue to show them all how much we value their health.

Caregiver Appreciation Week- Day 3:

Today’s color is red.

Today we celebrate a symbol of compassion by wearing the color red. This job is unique in that you are choosing to spend your time working towards adding to your client’s lives in ways that impact not only the client, but their families who love them. From helping them stay clean and dry, to ensuring they are fed and safe. This requires great compassion from each of you. Caring for the lives of others is such a beautiful gesture. With every accepted shift, with every clock in, you all show the passion you have within to add to the quality of your client’s life. That’s big, and we deeply appreciate your contribution to helping us always be there.

We just completed our marshmallow contest!! Tomorrow is trivia day, and we need 4 contestants from our field staff. Trivia questions will be all about Always There and policies. If you are interested in participating, please call the office. As a contestant, you have another chance to win some PTO. ❤️

Today’s color is blue.

We wear blue today to symbolize peace. We are thankful that all of employees provide a sense of peace to our clients. Allowing a daughter or son to be at ease knowing their parents are in good hands. Providing peace to a wife who has cared for her husband for so long and was finally able to get out of the house for a few hours. The peace of knowing a beloved client on hospice is passing away in their home surrounded by family. Thank you for being the calming spirit to all of our clients.

This afternoon our office staff will be competing in a hula hoop contest! Stay tuned for more information on this as we will need participation from all employees. We will go live later this afternoon between 2p-3p💙

We are kicking off Caregiver Appreciation Week today! We will be celebrating all of our employees through next Thursday.Each day we will wear a color that symbolizes a word that represents the “why” behind what we do.

Today’s color is Black.

We wear black today to symbolize comfort. Our employees provide comfort emotionally, physically and spiritually to all of our clients. It’s the little things, from repositioning a pillow to listening to a client’s life story, that bring comfort to so many. We are thankful to each and everyone of you for going to the extra mile to make our patients feel loved.

Each day will come with an activity or challenge that our in office staff or field staff can participate in. Today, one of our in-office employees will receive a pie to the face based off field staff nominations. They are already coming in, so if you are an employee, don’t forget to call the office between 8a-11a with the code word that was emailed to you. After 11am, we will tally the votes to see who is getting pied in the face this afternoon. Videos to come!
