A fantastic turnout for a special event. Parents, educators, and therapists joined our toy adaption workshop and thanks to YPBirmingham they had a toy to take home for their child or classrooms and clinics! Several stayed to adapt extra toys for us to donate to more families. We love their newfound confidence!!!

Thank you to our volunteers who donated their precious Saturday morning to come help. Our hearts are full with gratitude!

APTAT had a fantastic time meeting with Early Intervention providers last week at the big conference. We hope we can be a valuable resource to families with our device lending library. Our EI consultant Lynn, did an outstanding job teaching attendees about the Adapt & Play kits, her passion project, which include communication aids, adapted toys, and more for early learners with complex needs.

What an absolute pleasure to cohost the 2nd AT Alabama Conference with United Ability and Alabama Department of Mental Health! We love how much excitement there was around this year's conference. So many of these vendors have been fantastic partners to us through these past two years of building APTAT and we're grateful to have shared such wonderful memories together!

As rapid response to the devastation of Hurricane Helene subsides and families begin looking for additional resources, please remember we have partners who manage durable medical equipment reuse programs. Whether someone you know needs to replace equipment lost or just needs a device during temporary relocation, share with them our local resources. Wheelchairs, hospital beds, shower chairs and more are available at no cost and several locations have disposable medical supplies available as well.

Please contact them by phone to inquire. Inventory varies as it's based on donations to their program.
