Location of Position: Women’s Residential, Mother’s Hope, Men’s Residential - Birmingham, AL

Office Location of Position: 4246 5th Avenue South, 2772 Hanover Street, 201 Finley Avenue West, Birmingham, AL

Position Summary:
The residential support specialist provides residential support, supervision, and medical assistance to men and women adult clients in residential and supportive housing programs. The residential support specialist is responsible for appropriate supervision and day-to-day functions of our residential supportive services. The residential support specialist works closely with the residential manager, and director of behavioral health to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Provide appropriate supervision of residential clients and their children in residential setting, including supervision of work assignments, meal preparation, and recreational activities.

-Responsible for facilitating basic living responsibilities

-Responsible for conducting room inspections for compliance checks
-Enforce program rules in a fair and constant manner.
-Properly document activities on clients and maintain other records as directed.
-Document and assist clients with medications to ensure proper usage.
-Transport program participants to NA/AA meetings, appointments, store runs, and other approved recreational activities.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the residential manager, director of behavioral health, clinical director, chief operating 0fficer, and/or executive director.

Qualifications:

-High School Diploma or equivalent required. If applying as a peer, at least two years in recovery
-Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience preferred

-MAC certification eligibility required

-Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record required

-Motor Vehicle Report required

Aletheia House is looking for an individual to provide cleaning services at the Bessemer Neighborhood Health Center. The area served is Jefferson County in Bessemer, AL.

Position Summary:
The custodian is responsible for maintaining the Bessemer Neighborhood Health Center by providing a clean environment for staff and clients. The custodian works closely with the health
services coordinator and chief operating officer to accomplish the mission and service goals of Aletheia House.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Clean facility as needed
-Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by emptying and taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
-Sweep, mop, and wax floors, hallways, and restrooms; vacuum carpets
-Clean kitchen and restroom areas by washing and sanitizing toilets, sinks, surfaces, railings, handles, showers, etc. Responsible for restocking disposables (e.g. soap, tissue, paper towels, etc.)
-Wipe and clean mirrors and windows
-Remove all paper and debris from vacant apartment
-Report major and minor damages to the veteran’s services manager
-Maintain accurate, complete and timely documentation of all work
-Attend staff meetings and in-services trainings as directed and perform other duties as assigned by the health services coordinator, chief operating officer and/or executive director

-Qualifications:
-Experience with janitorial services preferred
-High School Diploma or GED preferred

Aletheia House is looking for an individual to manage behavioral health services and provide counseling for patients at our health center. The area served is Jefferson County.

Position Summary:
The behavioral health manager is responsible for managing the behavioral health services, and providing counseling to our health center patients. This individual works closely with, and is supervised by, the Health Services Director. Approximately 50% of
this individual’s duties are managerial and 50% are direct service.

Qualifications:
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health with a clinical practicum required
• Licensure as a LPC, LICSW, or clinical psychologist preferred. If not currently
licensed, eligible to be licensed as a LPC, LICSW or clinical psychologist within
24 months required
• Certification as a substance abuse professional or the ability to achieve
certification within 30 months required
• At least five years of experience providing counseling required. Experience providing substance abuse treatment services preferred
• Must be eligible to provide Medicaid services

Job Salary:
$44,000 - $54,000

Hours:
Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm or as required

Position Summary:
The Mother’s Hope therapist will provide counseling for substance abuse disorders, psycho-social assessments and group/class services to women. The Mother’s Hope therapist works closely with the women and family treatment coordinator.

Qualifications:
-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health with a clinical
practicum required.
-Ability to be eligible to perform Medicaid approved activities and be certified as a QSAP I
-Licensure and/certification as required by the Alabama Department of Mental Health (AADC/ADC, LPC, LICSW, LMFT, LMSW) preferred, or the ability to achieve
licensure/certification after 30 months
-At least two years experience providing substance abuse treatment and/or prevention services preferred
-Must have valid and current Driver’s License

-Minimal travel required (trainings and meetings).

agency vehicle when needed.
