Save this post for later!
Don't let that thing in your past that makes you feel shame define you or dictate in your mind what's possible moving forward.
The Lord can always take our mess and turn it into a message that brings Him glory.
So stop hiding. Stop keeping your struggle in the dark.
When you bring your hurts into light, that's when they have the best chance of being healed.
It's not too late for you. Give your hurt over to God and let Him turn it into something beautiful.
Save this post to re-read on the hard days when you need a reminder of God's goodness.
(And thank you to @ayanasymone for sharing this truth!)

Here's a few things me and my good friend (😉😉) @mariekondo encourage you to let go of that's probably not "sparking joy" in your life ⬇️
Let go of your scale. Let go of busyness. Let go of the lies you've been believing about "good" and "bad" foods.
What other things do you need to let go of today in order to help you make recovery-focused decisions to improve your relationship with food and your body?

Comment with the word "AMEN" below if you agree 🙌🏻.
Your body runs on the food and drink you consume each day.
You need it to run, jump, sing, and even sleep.
Practice body appreciation today by adequately fueling your body, despite what you may have eaten earlier today or yesterday.

It's time to celebrate all the amazing things your body does for you, and give it the care it deserves.
Yes, it's getting warmer, and YES, it is OKAY to wear the shorts and a tank top. Go get a manicure, a haircut, take a bubble bath, go for a walk.
Work with your body, not against it.
Comment below or DM me with one way you practice body appreciation.

Look at what becomes possible when you change your mindset around food!
SO many of the tangible results you see as you recover are highly dependent on how you see and relate to food and your body.
In other words 👉🏻 Improved spiritual and mental health breeds improved physical health.

If your day has gotten off to a rough start, read this ⬇️.
I love this line from @mistyphillip and I hope it reminds you to take a minute and shift your focus from trying to tell God how big your problem is, and start telling your problems how big your God is.
Despite how crazy life may feel for you right now, it's possible to experience peace in the midst of chaos.
Keeping God at the center of your life (and your DAY) may be the greatest reminder that even on the hardest days you're neverl alone. The Lord is with you as you seek to heal your relationship with your body.
Freedom is possible.
The struggle might be real, but so is God.

Your body gets energy from calories, and without calories...
It won't function properly.
Everything from sleep to GI function has the ability to affect to your daily life, and ignoring your hunger cues won't make you more productive.
Refer to my reel titled, "A Tell Tale Sign That You Aren't Eating Enough" to see what this might look like for you.

If you're like so many of the clients I serve, then it's likely that pursuing physical health (or weight change disguised as the pursuit of health) has taken a much higher place on your priority list than it deserves.
When you get hyperfixated on physical health, most every other area of your health is going to decline.
But when you're pursuing growing your spiritual health, you'd be amazed at how your physical and mental health has the capacity to improve too!
If "getting healthier" is causing you stress, DM me and let's have some .

Learning to eat out is an important and necessary part of your recovery process.
Take a deep breath and take back your power from that critical voice in your head.
Look around at the table, and take in the little moments with the people you love.
Remind yourself that you are there for them, and because of that, don't give as much attention to the food in front of you.
And remember: It’s not about perfection. It’s about progress.

Switching from an "I dislike my body" mindset to something more positive (or even neutral) takes time and conscious effort.
But it can be done. Commit to growth.
We are sold this idea (especially on social media) that looking a certain way will bring us approval, affection, love, respect, and value.
It's time to take your freedom back. Like if you agree.

This isn't your average intuitive eating resource. (*Warning - might be controversial*)
Learning how to eat intuitively isn't enough to heal your relationship with food or a negative body image and confidently sustain it without relapsing into disordered behaviors.
Here's why...
One of the BIGGEST contributing factors to disordered eating and negative body image is misplaced identity.
When you perceive your worth or value as a person is dependent upon how you think others see you or how they feel about you, your identity is in a place that's going to constantly be wavering.
But, when your value is grounded in a place that's unshakeable, that's when you can finally start getting your feet underneath you to feel steady moving forward so that you can begin implementing the principles of intuitive eating from a better foundation.
That's why my intuitive eating eBook walks you through how to begin applying the 10 principles from a faith-centered perspective so that Christ is at the center of it all.
Scan the QR code to get your copy right now and start (or continue) your intuitive eating journey on the right foot.

Loved wrapping up in Auburn with @morgan.mcgrady, @aubiethetiger01, and everyone who came out to show their support at the NEDA walk.
Just because NEDA week is over, it doesn't mean the fight is.
Keep raising awareness and promoting !
