New Website, new blog post. 🐝
My journey to becoming an ABM Neuromovement Practitioner and why. Graduating from the Medical College of Georgia in 2000, I began my career in NYC working in a variety of environments including schools, hospitals, pediatric home care agencies, private clinics, and nursing homes.

I encourage other positioning like side sitting and “criss cross apple sauce”. Giving children variations also increases overall coordination and trunk stability.

Several students get frustrated when making mistakes when working in the schools. I continuously encourage them to make lots of mistakes in other words try new variations. Whether it is making a large letter B way outside the lines and a tiny one that is barely visible. To drawing the sloppiest X. One must form a correct X in the mind to form a sloppy one on paper.

I love this! Play is the work of the child and an essental part of growth and development. More play please. Artwork by Tiffany Sankary
I’m moving to a new office location in Bluff Park! Amazing and wonderful landlords! The building also offers a space for group classes! I’m so excited!!!!

Freedom Space Swing All-inclusive Hammock Yoga Hammock
For kids with Sensory Needs this is great for the house during these times. Vestibular input and Deep pressure (Proprioceptive) input can help get the wiggles out.
(Please be careful with spinning. Some children can not process rotary stimulation well and it could make them nauseous). There are some kids that absolutely love to spin. Just make sure to supervise.

Hey there,
Anat Baniel in is the process of getting FREE NEUROMOVEMENT LESSONS on her website to help ease anxiety and upgrade our brains for better movement, thinking, and awareness. Parents, I urge you to try these lessons. When you see the changes happening within yourself and how you can improve your functioning, it can help you understand how your child is able to make these changes and gains. Also, you’ll feel better! It just feels good to connect with yourself for a moment and focus on your body/brain connection. I will be posting again when these are available.

Power Lessons Strength

I finished this program (6 lessons) today and as recommended by Anat I will do it about 2-3 more times to gain, strengthen, and maintain the neural connections I have gained. This helps so much with my ability to move with ease and I notice with my vision. Also, when I do these movement lessons, I instill intrinsic knowledge that I can bring to my patients.

33 Reasons to Choose a Play-Based Preschool, Not an Academic One

33 Reasons to Choose a Play-Based Preschool, Not an Academic One Parents in the US are enthralled with academic preschools, buying into the belief that earlier is better. However, research shows that play is how kids learn best. It enhances their imaginations, promotes exploration, increases vocabulary, and builds social skills.

Art I found in Tucson today.

Tucson is so cool! Wrapping up another ABM Neuromovement training. My brain is full! I can not wait to bring it home! @ Tucson, Arizona

Someday this will be common knowledge. That it is necessary to provide information to the 🧠 via our sensory system to have better outcomes and functioning.

Great find via a fantastic co-worker! Karen Pryor talks about integrating Primitve Reflexes and excellent ideas on working with Brain Plasticity.

Amazing Training so far! (ABM Children’s 5: Movement, Thinking, and Cognition). I am learning about the process of learning. How the brain’s navigation of using one’s skeleton to maneuver in the gravitational field to develop movement patterns is the basis of developing intelligence. The brain making connections and relationships to make sense of one’s environment.
I’m learning about the child’s ability to develop a sense of knowing, a sense of self agency, and intentional action versus the thinking patterns habitually used to avoid sensation or the thinking patterns that inhibit taking new information in. @ Tucson, Arizona
