Thanks to everyone who has enjoyed, looked at, commented on, critiqued and thereby supported my work this year. That interaction enriches my art and myself and I truly appreciate it! Here’s to 2026!!!🎉🎉🎉

Just finished rework of a straw nativity. “Madonna and Child.”
Watching The Bishop’s Wife (Cary Grant, David Niven and Loretta Young, 1947). A favorite Christmas movie.

I think the Key Lime Pie house is done. I’ve signed it but will look at it for a couple of days to see if anything pops out to annoy me. 😁

Scrubbing out railing posts. Tedious but I get better results than if I only paint around the posts.
Of course I will repaint around them to get the background back in, and will still have to scrub them again a couple of times. 1) That’s the process for how I get the lines so clean. 2) it’s pretty a**l, but I don’t really have to think much while doing it. 3) my favorite quote: “I just don’t give up until I get what I want”. The results are my proof.
I’m getting there!
The hardest part: leaving it alone several hours for it to thoroughly dry before I go back in. The scrubbed paper fibers love to suck up paint if even minutely damp. 🙄

Getting ready for the Badger Mountain Holiday Bazaar, next Saturday Dec. 6, 8 am - 3 pm. $5 entry fee supports Badger Mountain Elementary PTO (Parent Teacher Organization).
Just got in some BIG 6” round fridge magnets, which have an easel back if you prefer to stand them up. I have the Spudnut Shop, Riverboat, Richland Players Theater, Octopus’ Garden and Zip’s. They’re pretty fun! Pm me if you want more info.
