Meet LAFM Roxy! 🐾

If happiness had four legs and a wagging tail, it would be Roxy! This adorable little girl wastes no time making friends—within minutes of meeting her, she’s ready to play, cuddle, and steal your heart.

Roxy is about 2 years old, weighs 12 pounds, and we think she’s a terrier mutt mix with a whole lot of personality packed into a tiny body. She loves a good game of tug-of-war, happily chews on her favorite bones, and is always up for an adventure. She’s great on walks, potty trained, dog-friendly, and when playtime is over, she’s a champion snuggler who loves curling up next to her people.

Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy, a couch companion, or a little shadow to follow you around, Roxy is ready to fill that role with enthusiasm and love.

🌺 If you’d like to meet this sweet girl, please submit an adoption application through www.LoveatFirstMutt.org

Officially Meet LAFM W***y 🐾 German Shepherd · Male · 9-11 Months Old

W***y is a big puppy with an even bigger heart — and after everything he’s been through, he just keeps showing up with love.

Found after being abandoned on Skid Row, W***y didn’t let his past define him. He’s resilient, sweet, and ready to finally have a home to call his own. šŸ’š

Here’s who W***y is today:
He’s playful and energetic — think zoomies, toys, and full-body enthusiasm for life. He needs daily exercise and would thrive with an active family who’s up for hikes, long walks, or training adventures together. He’s loyal to the core, bonds deeply, and is genuinely affectionate — big on snuggles once he warms up.

The good news keeps coming: W***y is good with dogs of all sizes, good with cats (low prey drive!), good with older kids, and even bike-friendly — totally unbothered by cyclists. He already knows his basic commands (sit, stay, come) — this boy is smartand highly trainable.

A few things still in progress: leash manners are coming along nicely ✨, he’s still adjusting to his crate, and yes — he’s very much in land shark mode(teething is real 🦈). He also gets a little excited or nervous sometimes, which can mean the occasional accident — but he’s working on it.

W***y needs an adopter who’s ready to continue his training and grow with him. He’s not a finished product — he’s a bright, loving puppy who just needs someone to believe in him.

If you’re ready for the joy (and fun challenge!) of raising a young shepherd, W***y is your guy. šŸ–¤šŸ•Please submit an adoption application on our website www.LoveAtFirstMutt.org

Officially Meet LAFM JJ 🩵

LAFM JJ is 10ish years old. He’s seen some things. He’s ready for a nap.šŸ’¤ JJ doesn’t know he’s considered a senior dog. He just knows mornings shouldn’t be rushed and that other dogs seem to move a little faster than he does these days. At about 55 pounds, JJ gets around well despite a few crunchy hips and takes life exactly the way it should be taken: one slow, happy step at a time.

Let’s be honest about who JJ is. He is not going to fetch a ball. He is not going to be your hiking buddy. What he will do is remind you that everything is going to be okay when he rests his head in your lap and lets out a contented sigh.

JJ knows a thing or two about resilience. He came to us after being abandoned on Skid Row. Thanks to a village of kind humans, JJ got his second chance. Now all he needs is a soft place to land and a family to spend his retirement with.

He doesn’t need a huge backyard, a strict exercise regimen, or an active lifestyle. He needs someone who appreciates the quiet joy of a dog who’s settled, calm, and perfectly content to keep you company. Retirees, work-from-home humans, or anyone who enjoys slow morning walks followed by coffee on the patio would be JJ’s perfect match.

JJ isn’t looking to be rescued. He’s looking for a home where he can write the final chapter of his story—and he deserves for it to be a good one.

JJ Fun Facts:
• He gets along with dogs of all sizes and has never met a stranger.
• Cheese is his love language.
• He snores. He farts. He excuses himself, but he’s not sorry about it.
• He will happily test the comfort level of any couch he encounters.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion, a professional nap enthusiast, and the sweetest old soul around, JJ is waiting to meet you.

LAFM Charles aka your new best friend is still looking for his furever homešŸ’›

This handsome brindle boy is about 1–2 years old and already proving himself to be the total package. Likely a mastiff/pitbull mix, he’s got the size of a big tough guy—but the heart of an absolute sweetheart.

He’s house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash, making him an easy addition to your daily routine. He’s still working on his basic commands, but he’s eager to learn and responds well with a little patience (and maybe a treat or two).

At home, he’s all about the good stuff: playing with his foster siblings, going on walks, and most of all—cuddling. Seriously, this guy is a professional snuggler who just wants to be close to his people. He’ll happily follow you from room to room just to keep you company.

Don’t let his size fool you—he’s a true gentle giant with a loving, loyal personality. He may need a little time to settle into a new environment, but once he does, he’s the kind of dog who will completely steal your heart.

If you’re looking for a big, affectionate, playful companion who doubles as a cuddle buddy, this sweet boy is ready to be your forever sidekick 🐾

Officially Meet LAFM Romeo & Printz šŸ’›šŸ¾

This bonded pair of Shih Tzu boys are the definition of mellow and easygoing. We think they are about 4-6 years old. They’re calm, well-behaved, and absolute pros in the car—road trips are their specialty!
They walk beautifully on leash, rarely bark, and are happiest when they have their own toys to enjoy.
Romeo and Printz are good with kids, dogs and people & have excellent manners. They know commands like sit, stay, and no, and they truly listen. Both are crate trained and potty trained, making them an easy fit for a loving home.
Their favorite thing? Snuggling—either cuddled up together or right next to their favorite person. If you’re looking for two sweet, gentle companions who bring double the love, Romeo & Printz are your perfect match. šŸ’•

If you’re interested in meeting these boys please submit an adoption application on our website www.LoveAtFirstMutt.org
