ART! 🏡🖼️🪴🤌 It’s official, the Show House is OPEN from May 2 through May 17. The Show House is an opportunity for artists to showcase their skills renovating a home, and this year’s work at the historic John B. Shimer house is nothing short of stunning. It was a pleasure to attend the official ribbon cutting and get the opportunity to share just a few tiny glimpses of what to look forward to. Every room is its own work of art and I will definitely be visiting several more times to spend more time picking up inspiration and shopping merchandise to decorate my own home😏 .egge grabbed a delightful bunch of gorgeous vases for under $10!

And yes, this is an art account, because art is essential and comes in so many forms. Art isn’t just painting, ceramics, photography - it’s the expression of emotions and storytelling through the creation of spaces, figures and forms. It’s the process of establishing environments or items that help others have an experience. The Show House is art, and certainly art that you don’t want to miss!!

The inaugural Collection Soirée hosted by last night was an elegant affair from start to finish 🌴 Guests were transported to a chic promenade in the French Riviera where you could stroll by a rich collection of art while sipping handcrafted cocktails and enjoying light jazz wafting through the air. Every corner of the space was designed to delight the attendee from the candlelit dining room to the palm trees lining the hall.

Being able to view the final pieces created specifically for this show was a true treat, and speaking with the artists about their work was a bonus. For many of the artists, the piece they created for the Soirée marked the end of a series or motif before they were to embark on a new direction, so this would be the only opportunity for attendees to purchase a piece of that kind to enjoy in their own home.
