At our monthly training meeting last night our members had a refresher on Toxicology and Intramuscular Epi Injections. We talked about the rising overdose statistics across the state and in Litchfield County and even simulated administering Intramuscular Epi to an anaphylactic patient (someone who is experiencing a life threatening allergic reaction).
Bethlehem Ambulance takes a walk down memory lane after finding a copy of the minutes from the first ever meeting held by the association back in 1977, as well as a picture of one of our first ambulances surrounded by founding members. Dutch Krake who is pictured below is still a member of the association to this day and regularly attends meetings despite his retirement from service.
We would like to say a special thank you to Tom Hill for helping our members stay cool by repairing our air conditioner before the heat wave began last week!
Bethlehem Ambulance runs on Dunkin! Thank you to the crews who went on simultaneous calls this afternoon.

Our sincerest condolences go out to members of the North Cannan and Plymouth Volunteer Ambulance Association’s and the family of Chris Smith, EMTwho passed away yesterday in a motorcycle accident.
Every month Bethlehem True Value is kind enough to designate an organization to benefit from their “round up" program. Your roundup donations for the month of May will be going to BAA!
