Accu-Weber is an amateur weather geek who likes to offer forecasts on hurricanes, snowstorms & other big weather events. These opinions are meant for fun.
Accu-Weber has been infatuated with weather for nearly 30 years, particularly with big weather events such as hurricanes and snowstorms. Beginning in 2008, Accu-Weber posted amateur forecasts for friends and family in Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware on his personal page. The forecasts were accurate and well-received, leading many to suggest that Accu-Weber become its own pag
e on Facebook. In 2011, it did! So here we are. Accu-Weber's forecasts are not derived from some mathematical formula. Nor are they copied from any popular forecast. They are the result of personal opinion based on study of the forecasts put out by the National Weather Service, the Eastern PA Weather Authority, 69 News, Pennsylvania Weather Action, Weather NJ and the Lehigh Valley Weather Authority. Accu-Weber looks for consistencies between those forecasts, then issues his own forecast based on those consistencies and personal weather opinion after analysis of well-used models. What makes Accu-Weber's forecasts unique are that they are 1) for fun but still serious, should you wish to take them way, and 2) hyperlocal in that they are tailored for the people living in Eastern Pennsylvania (specifically the Lehigh Valley) and all of New Jersey. When specific details, such as pinpoint location, are needed, they are given. Accu-Weber hopes you have fun reading these forecasts, but if you choose to take them seriously, please remember that they are the opinion of an amateur weather geek, not those of a professional meteorologist -- even though we strive for perfection.
