Read this over the holiday weekend and had some powerful takeaways:
1. Telling myself I can’t do something is tough, yet telling myself I “don’t” do that thing is easier.
2 While asking a child to help out might work, but asking them to “be a helper” is more effective – identify the action with something positive about themselves
3. It’s beneficial to be more specific with descriptions in conversation and to avoid assumptions
4. Communicate confidently and avoid pausing with words such as um or like.
5. Learn to ask the right questions.
