I wrote a funny book. It's about my promiscuous life during the early 80s, but with a twist. I took the creative liberty of introducing an imaginary friend named Red, a devil the protagonist has many "experiences" with. It's mad-capped and will make you laugh. Some years back, I was prompted to paint something about Northridge for a show that was being held by the PAI in the valley. The first image is that in which I called "The Halversons Were Here," one of the first "settlers" in the region once known as Zelzah and later renamed Northridge. This began a style of composition I loved and revisited by painting a series I called "The LA Series" based on street names in Los Angeles and who they were named after; Pico, Mulholland, Wilshire, Doheny, and Will Rodgers.

Now, I'm revisiting that style once again with old movie stars and just finished The African Queen and Alfred Hitchcock (haven't officially named them yet).

Also, I haven't posted on this page in almost 2 years. Life happened; surgeries, ex-husband stuff, TikTok addiction, and preparation for retirement. The conundrum still faces me though...how to market myself. Insta is getting completely ridiculed by artists for swaying too heavily in AI. Etsy has been taken over by mass producers. A new social media site called Cara has come into play but getting criticized for digital artwork ie. where has the old style gone?

Hey Y'all! I will be exhibiting my art this Saturday at the Montana Ave. Art Walk thanks to an invitation from Ten Women Gallery on Montana! I will be staged at the Roosevelt Elementary School where the music and performance artists will be performing (801 Montana Ave.) It's a big art walk weekend, but I hope you will make your way to this one to see me!
