BicyCAL - UCB Student Bike Co-Op

BicyCAL is temporarily closed. We may open later in the summer. We will certainly be open in the fall, hours to be announced.

We are also excited to announce that after a 4 year hiatus we will be restarting our famous DeCal course, "Bicycle Maintenance and Repair," a 1 unit P/NP course which covers the fundamentals of owning a bicycle on campus, including bike repair, purchases, infrastructure, and repair. You don't need to be Lance Armstrong Jr. to sign up for this course - we welcome everyone interested in bikes on campus.

We'll be tabling on Sproul on Monday 1/24!
Come talk to us if you want to:
1. Fix your bike
2. Volunteer fixing other people's bikes
3. Build crazy frankenbikes out of junk parts
4. Ride your bike on our famous goon bike rides with us
5. Jam with the BicyCAL band (we're the only bike shop with their own house band)

Bicycal is opening starting next week!

Tonight at 7:30 is Bicycal’s first meeting of the semester. We will be determining hours and preparing shop for the spring. Everyone is welcome.

We’ll be discussing a shop cleanup, best practices for student organizations, and gossiping about our mechanics’ lives. Come join us!

School is almost upon us, so it’s time for Bicycal to reopen! Our first meeting is this Wednesday the 28th, at 6:30pm in the shop under Golden Bear Cafe. We will be discussing policy changes for the semester, introducing the mechanics, and most importantly deciding hours. We encourage anyone to attend, if you are curious about volunteering or have any bike questions, this is the meeting for you!

This week, shop will be open Monday 7/29, instead of our regular Thursday.

Hello folks, bicycal is closed Saturday June 28 as attendance is better on weekdays.

As a secondary announcement, our volunteers’ facilities access is ending on Sunday so we might be closed until admin lets us in again. Who knows! I’ll let you know, though, when we ourselves are informed.

Shop will be open tomorrow 6/22 from 11am to 1pm (instead of the usual 10am to 12pm).

Good news bike lovers!! After a lengthy hiatus bicycal is reopening for the summer. The shop will be open on Thursdays 5-7 pm and Saturdays 10-12, starting Saturday June 8.

After shop on Saturday, we will also be having a casual ride to grab lunch. Anyone is welcome, hope to see you there!

Our decal is up and running once again for the spring semester. This course will familiarize you with the basics of bicycle maintenance, so it is perfect for those just starting out in their relationship with bicycles. Be sure to come by this Wednesday if you’re interesting in learning about bikes!
