This Women’s History Month, we honor the faith, resilience, and undeniable excellence of Hattie McDaniel , a trailblazer who gave her best, even when doors were limited and opportunities were scarce.
As the first Black woman to win an Academy Award for her role in Gone with the Wind, her victory was more than personal, it was historic. Her work carved space in an industry that wasn’t built for her, yet could not deny her talent.
“I did my best and God did the rest.” A reminder that dedication, faith, and excellence never go unnoticed — even when the journey is uphill.

One page a day. One story at a time.
Write anyway. Write tired. Write unsure. Consistency is how history gets made.
