Your girl is heading in for a little medical tune-up starting April 27th, which means Secret Farmstead is going on a brief but dramatic hiatus.
For a couple of weeks:

🛑 The website will be closed (yes, even for “just one quick order”)
🛑 No soap slinging, lotion whipping, or tallow magic
🛑 I will be professionally lounging and healing like it’s my full-time job

BUT until then — I’ve got you covered 🙌

This bar is fresh off the curing rack, which in soap-maker terms means it has finally graduated from the “don’t touch it, it’s still curing” phase to the “ok fine, you can sniff it now” phase.

Our Garden Party tallow soap smells like you just wandered through a backyard full of flowers, sunshine, and people who definitely brought fancy sweet tea and little sandwiches with the crusts cut off. Meanwhile I’m over here in boots and a T-shirt like, “Yes, this counts as a party.”

This beauty is Grass-Fed Tallow Cherry Lemonade, and I’m not going to lie… I’m irrationally excited to cut this loaf. There’s just something about those swirls that makes a soap maker feel like a kid staring at wrapped Christmas presents. You know what you made… but you still have absolutely no idea what’s inside until the knife hits it.

Right now it smells like sweet cherries met a lemon stand and decided to start a band together. 🎶🍒🍋

Also, can we all take a moment to appreciate that it’s finally time to start rolling out the spring scents? Which means brighter colors, fruity smells, and me standing in the soap room sniffing things like a completely normal, well-adjusted adult.

Our grass-fed tallow soaps have completed their spa retreat, passed all vibe checks, and are now available for your shower’s enjoyment.

📏⚖️ Breaking News from the Secret Farmstead Science Lab ⚖️📏

After some very official research (a scale, a lot of lotion bars, and intense squinting), we discovered something shocking:

Our “medium” and “large” lotion bars weigh the SAME.
Like… within 0.1 oz on average same. 👀

So what’s the difference?
• Large bars = more rectangular 💪
• Medium bars = square or round ✨
• Weight = identical twins

Because of this revelation, we’re simplifying life and pricing ALL medium + large lotion bars the same at $4.00 each 🎉

Why? Because honestly… we hate overpaying for soaps and lotions too, and we try hard to keep our prices as low as humanly (and goat-ly) possible. 🐐🧼

One more update from the barn:
The small lotion bars are being discontinued. They weren’t very popular and took a lot of time away from making your favorite full-size goodies—and we’d rather spend that time making the stuff you actually love. ❤️
