Thank you for seeing our Dolly and taking care of her on Thursday. You always provide excellent service!
Do we need tii oh make an appointment for grooming?
I was wondering if you could share this photo in hopes of finding his home. I was on Central in Belton when it was down in the single digits and was heard him across the street from where the Bell Tokyo food truck is. We heard home over the radio and windows up. I couldn’t let him stay out in the freezing temps and brought him home. We haven’t had luck finding his owners and we cannot keep him. I am in Academy. I don’t know if anyone would be willing to foster him till his owners are found or what to do. I have 3 dogs and a cat here already and it’s been chaos. He is super sweet a love bug.
******WEATHER UPDATE ********

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Animal Emergency of Killeen (254) 628-5017 will be open this evening, Temple Animal Emergency has lost power and will not be opening this evening. We will update our page as often as possible to keep you informed. Thank you for your understanding.
Piper needs an award or something. She has been to the vet almost every week for the past 6 weeks. Her Achilles’ tendon had a partial tear, (it’s called something else in dogs) The staff at Belton Small Animal Clinic have all been so kind and loving. They make her weekly cast changes possible and Piper STILL loves going back every week! 3 more weeks and she’ll get it off for good.
Merry Christmas from Ken, Carol, Sassy, & Buddy

Question: Does anyone know anywhere that assists with spaying/neutering feral cats?

Who: Lost Fur baby

Where: Coleman American Moving Service West, 2000 US-190 Frontage Rd, Belton, TX 76513

I know this may be a long shot but, it’s worth a try.
My daughter-in-law’s fur baby went missing 4 years ago. They were stationed in Ft. Hood and then received orders to go to Germany. The moving company accidentally took her fur baby with the other furniture (he somehow got into the sofa unnoticed). They went to the warehouse to try and find him but no luck. Every time they would call, the company would report that they “sighted” him but that’s all. Now, no new updates are received and we feel hope is lost. Please, if you’ve seen him, please contact me. He is very deeply missed.

What Every Cat Owner Should Know About Dental Care For Cats

Dental disease is a reality for most cats. By age four, many cats have significant gingivitis and many also have periodontal disease. It is a slow progressing but serious disease that causes pain and affects the overall health and wellbeing. Cats will not show signs of oral discomfort. Because the pain associated with dental problems comes on slowly over time, they simply learn to live with it. That is why it is important that all cats see a veterinarian annually to assess their oral health.

Whats in a Comprehensive Exam? And why does my pet need one?

Now you are probably wondering what a comprehensive exam includes?

Well this is very similar to what you would get at your doctors office when you show up for a physical exam. They start off with a weigh in and then check you from head to toe only in your pets case it would from nose to tail!

During an exam we check your pet's eyes, ears, and teeth to make sure everything looks healthy. They're also listen your pets' heart for any irregular rhythms, feel their belly, and do an orthopedic exam to make sure joints are arthritis free.

We will also update any necessary vaccines at this time, prescribe preventatives or other medications, discuss blood work if it's recommended, and answer any questions you may have.

If you have any questions on when your pet last had a comprehensive exam be sure to contact us!

We often get asked about what a comprehensive exam entails and how often a dog or cat should schedule one. Every 6 months? Every Year?

Well that is a great question so here are some guidelines to keep in mind and of course consult with your vet to make sure you have the best strategy for your pet.
Puppies and kittens under 1 year: every 3-4 weeks until 16 weeks old.

Dogs and cats 1-7 years old: once a year (at a minimum)

Senior dogs and cats 7-10+ years old: twice a year.
