The person in this news story is my nephew. When a person is assumed guilty before they have been put on trial, when they are locked up without knowing why or without being questioned, this is a violation of the rights promised them in our Constitution. It is so popular to holler about one's freedom of speech, freedom to protest, and that is great. If ever you are in a situation like this, that you think could never happen to you, there are some other rights you will be interested in. None of them are more important than the other, but you can't ignore the rights that don't fit your agenda. #IBelieveHer #MeToo is dangerous. The justice system may not be perfect-and my nephew's case proves that parts of it are not-but it worked for him in the end.

I also want to point out that 8 people he had just met the night of that selfie gave sworn affidavits that he was at that event. The selfie was not the only evidence. Something the accuser said also points out that she is a liar--Precopia's accuser told police that the two had a troubled relationship when they dated in high school several years ago, and she cited that as a reason she reported that he assaulted her.

Bell County, when are you going to arrest Faith Cox for perjury, for lying to the police, for filing a false report? When are you going to hold her responsible for the lies she told?
