I did a set of customs shelves for this client last year, and she was in love with the look of the smooth birch plywood, stained with a black walnut finish and low-gloss clear coat to really make it pop! She loved them so much that she had us build a matching front closet organizer to go with it! Out of four different designs I made in 3D modeling software, she went with this one and we’re both very happy with how it came out!

Here’s another awesome before vs. after showing a fireplace that this client had installed over 2 years ago, and after many unsuccessful attempts to get someone out to do the finish work, I got a phone call and had it done asap! I love seeing projects like this come together, and I love even more seeing how happy they make our customers!

Kind of an odd fix today, this customer’s toilet was delivered with a hairline crack running from the bottom rear corner all the way to the top. The replacement toilet that was delivered was the wrong one, so for a temporary fix I applied a thick bead of 100% waterproof silicone to the affected corner to make it usable for a few days.
I guess we will see how it performs in 24hrs!

I love the satisfaction I get from these kinds of projects, and the long-lasting aesthetic/safety benefits it brings to Kris Freeberg’s house is top-notch!
Flip through the photos to get a quick glimpse at the project progress during construction!

Just finished up this fireplace replacement. Big thanks to TJ over at Lynden Sheet Metal, Inc. on the removal and install process that went so smoothly!
Digging post holes and found something really interesting!

Work in progress:
This is a project I’ve really enjoyed lately, designing and now building a new, more modernized housing for this client’s new fireplace! Can’t wait to see how it turns out, stay tuned!

Easy as 1…2…3!
Without HandyDan, these folks would’ve had to call an electrician, then a drywall contractor, and finally a painter to remove these two A/C units and repair the wall like nothing ever happened. With all of them working on their own schedules and sending their own separate bills, that would’ve been a HEADACHE!
Fortunately there weren’t too many unforeseen circumstances and these two holes (along with some other minor drywall damage around the house) were all patched up within three short days.

All done with this fence repair!
I put in a new pressure-treated 4x4 to resist the moisture and a fresh concrete footing to keep it strong. Once the homeowner puts a coat of paint on it, it’ll look like it never happened😉

Saw something I’ve never seen before while replacing this rotted fence post here in lynden today!
Whoever set the post originally must’ve dug the hole way out of line with the other posts, and instead of digging it out a bit, put the post right up against the side of the post hole. When the concrete was poured in, it obviously wasn’t able to surround the post which left the outward face exposed to all that underground moisture, eventually rotting the post out quickly and completely.
No big deal here though, I got it dug out and the new, pressure treated post set in about 150lbs of fresh concrete that completely surrounds it this time😅
I’ll be back tomorrow to finish reassembling the fence and clean everything up so you won’t even be able to tell I was there😉
