As one of the jewelry artists for this weekend’s Big Reveal put it, “It’s not every day you get to put a piece in a museum.” That’s why will be flying out from Colorado for ’s runway extravaganza where his piece – along with 11 others – will debut. All of the pieces were handcrafted using Maine tourmaline from the Big Find, North America’s most magnificent single discovery of gem-quality tourmaline, 50 years ago.

The artists hail from eight states ranging from Maine to Oregon. Meet eight of them personally Saturday night by purchasing a VIP ticket for early access. And, yes, after The Big Reveal, the pieces will be on display at the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum until February when they’ll be showcased at the 2023 .

When my laptop crossed the rainbow bridge a couple weeks ago I didn't lose any original files, but I did lose a bunch of drafts that may or may not have found their way to this page. One such draft was this image of Pumpkin Island Light. Almost forgot about it! I had packed up my gear and was walking to the car when I glanced back at the lighthouse through a stand of trees and noticed I could get a clear shot through the branches ... if I laid down on my belly. So I did, and in the process picked up a lot of dirt on my frontside .. haha! Worth it, though - that's why I have "adventure clothes" :) Have an amazing Thursday!
