New clean products at Costco ๐Ÿฅ‘

One of our favorite things about shopping at Costco is spotting new products made with simpler, better ingredients.

These recent finds are made without many of the ingredients we personally look to avoid, including seed oils, preservatives, and other unnecessary additives commonly found in packaged foods.

As always, every product we share goes through our vetting process so we're not just looking at marketing claims. We're looking closely at the ingredient list, sourcing, and overall formulation.

Finding cleaner options at stores like Costco makes it easier to stock your pantry, freezer, and fridge with products that align with your health goals.

Have you spotted any new clean finds at Costco lately? Let us know below.

Most healthy snacks at the grocery store are made with the same handful of seed oils!

Seed oils include canola, soybean, sunflower, corn, grapeseed, vegetable, which are highly processed, often made from GMO crops, and extracted using harsh chemicals that strip them down to something that oxidizes the moment it hits heat. Oxidized oils release free radicals, which contribute to inflammation in the body and most are also disproportionately high in omega-6s, which throws off your omega-3 to omega-6 balance over time.

What we cook with instead:
โœ“ Avocado oil โ€” high smoke point, ideal for roasting and high-heat cooking
โœ“ Olive oil โ€” for dressings, low-heat sautรฉing, and finishing
โœ“ Coconut oil (unrefined) โ€” for baking, medium-heat cooking, anything where the coconut note works
โœ“ Grass-fed butter or ghee โ€” for eggs, vegetables, anywhere you want flavor

You can't always control what's in restaurant food, but you can control what's in your pantry and in your home!

What's the oil you swapped out first? Tell me below ๐Ÿ‘‡

Non-toxic bathroom starter guide ๐Ÿšฟ

The bathroom is one of the easiest places to begin making non-toxic swaps because so many products are used daily on your skin, in the air, or in close contact with your body.

Many conventional bathroom essentials contain synthetic fragrance, harsh preservatives, sulfates, dyes, and other ingredients we personally avoid.

We look for swaps like PFAS-free bamboo toilet paper, organic cotton towels, non-toxic oral care, and body care products made without sulfates, parabens, artificial dyes, or synthetic fragrance.

You do not need a full bathroom overhaul. Start with what you use most.
