✨Blonde Balayage + Wet Balayage✨

I loooove blendy colors! I love soft brightness!

One way to safely brighten ends is to wet balayage. Along with using , this is a great method to bump up the brightness of previously lightened ends without damage.

When Lightener is painted onto wet blonde ends, the water acts as a diluter and softens the strength of the lightener. I am able to apply quickly and watch the work happen, and rinse when the desired brightness is reached.

Requirements to request wet balayage:
✨ Ends must be in healthy condition
✨ Ends must be almost entirely solid blonde
✨ Expectation is to brighten 1-2 levels
✨ Adds on an extra 15-20 minutes at the bowl

… For Grey Blending

If you have been in my chair a time or two, you might know I’m a big advocate for creating options to blend grey. Permanent color coverage is not always the answer!

For my guest, I weaved out the lighter strands and left out the natural lowlights to enhance the dimension she already has, while keeping the grow-out blendy. Using a specific lightener that is gentle in its lift, I was able to add in a blonde tone just from the lift itself. Then, I toned her root with a pale blonde and a hint of gold, and lightly cooled her ends to meet exactly at the same tone all together.

In a rush we couldn’t finish the blowout, however I had to capture how beautiful this turned out! 😍

I wish I had a before pic!🤦🏻‍♀️ Sometimes out of focus and excitement, I forget to take before pictures to show the transformation. But you’ll have to take my word for it! ;)

My lovely guest was feeling too over highlighted and maintenance heavy. We wanted to stay bright but blended with an easier growout.

In this case, I probably did more lowlights than highlights. We broke up a lot of the previous highlights, blended a root tone into a global blonde tone, and the result was so lovely!

I also very much enjoyed connecting with another mama in town, who happens to be from close to where I grew up in California!

My maintenance highlight was created to be the in-between service that gets you to the next partial or full highlight or balayage (up to 12 foils). Sometimes this is all you need! It helps us from over blonding and losing dimension.

It’s for when that money piece or your part starts to look grown out but you aren’t ready for another full service yet. It helps save a little money for you, and less time in the chair every other time. It’s also a great time to book a haircut!

Every maintenance and highlight/balayage service includes a global (all over) toner. Score! 🙌🏼

If needed, a second toner formula like a root shadow will be charged separately.

✨Open Air Balayage + Lowlights & Root Melt✨

How fun was this? So fun!

To create more contrast, I darkened her root and lowlighted with a demi color, and open air balayaged lighter pieces using Liberty Free Hand clay lightener.

This technique creates more contrast while minimally lifting to save hair integrity. 🙌🏼
And, the demi will fade so the commitment to a darker root and lowlight is temporary. I love this option when you want to keep control over future color choices. Permanent color is the hardest to lift out. Demi color gives you flexibility!

We decided to deepen the grey coverage root color to create more depth, and pull through some lowlights to create more dimension.

✨Full Specialty Blonding Session✨

For this lovely Mama of soon to be 2 🐥🐣, I did a mix of feathered highlights and balayage. She gets her hair highlighted 2-3 times a year, so she loves an easy grow out while still looking light and fresh.

A good trick I use to ensure an easy grow out is formulating two different toners, one for the root and one for the mids to ends.

The root toner is usually close to the natural root color and transparent. Its purpose is to blur the point of where highlights begin.

The mids to ends toner usually neutralizes the blonde tone. As I comb through both toners, they mesh together while they process to create a seamless transition.

Toning is one of the most satisfying applications to watch unfold in just a matter of minutes! 😍
