The first week of school at Nancy Ryles was a huge success! We were excited to welcome our newest Crocodiles, the Class of 2039, and to see the return of our amazing students across all grade levels. The halls were filled with excitement and plenty of smiles as we kicked off another great year of learning together.

Nancy Ryles Kindergarten Academy is underway this week. Kindergarten Academy is an opportunity for incoming kindergarten students to be introduced to their new school and build confidence as learners. Each day provides opportunities to build early learning skills, interact with other students, and engage in playful inquiry.

We’re hosting three casual drop-in sessions across the district where you can stop by, introduce yourself, and have a quick chat. No speeches, no formal presentations—just an open, informal opportunity to connect. Drop in whenever works best for you!

You're invited to a huge community shopping event that does a world of good!

While our primary mission is providing free school clothes to BSD students, our donation bins frequently overflow with incredible adult-sized apparel. To help our program grow and thrive independently, we’re hosting a giant blowout sale to find these clothes a good home. This sale, we also have quite a lot of baby and toddler clothes!

When: Saturday, June 13 | 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Where: District Support Center (16550 SW Merlo Rd.)
The Deal: Every single item is just $1!

We celebrated our Class of 2026 graduates this week with a special Senior Clap Out at Nancy Ryles! Seniors walked the halls one final time as students and were cheered on by our current students and staff. Following the clap out, graduates were welcomed to a reception where they enjoyed looking through old photos, sharing memories, and reconnecting with former elementary teachers.
These graduates hold a special place in our hearts, and it was a joy to celebrate all they have accomplished. Congratulations, Class of 2026! We are so proud of you and wish you all the best in your future endeavors. 🎓💜💚🐊

Today, our 4th-grade students visited the historic Bonneville Dam for an exciting day of learning and exploration!
Students learned how and why the dam and lock system were built, as well as how they operate. They reviewed the salmon life cycle and discovered how juvenile and adult salmon navigate past the dam. During their visit, students observed salmon, shad, and lamprey moving through the fish ladder and gained a firsthand look at these fascinating species in action.
The adventure continued at the fish hatchery, where students saw trout and sturgeon.
